Enjoy a delicious bowl of homemade turtle ice cream with pecans, chocolate chips, and caramel. Below is a no-churn ice cream recipe.
Is ice cream a favorite of yours too? It is such a versatile dessert! Great for hot days, but is still craved when it's cold outside. There is nothing better than cuddling up in a warm blanket with a cold bowl of your favorite flavor of ice cream. Yup, it truly is magical.
Ice cream isn't a dessert I usually make, because let's face it, it is so easy to buy! But this month I was challenged to make and share an ice cream recipe. This made me a bit anxious as I have never made ice cream before.
Honestly, it was so easy and now I can't stop thinking about the different mix-ins we could try!
Ingredients You'll Need For This Recipe:

- 1 - 14 oz. can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 Pint Heavy Whipping Cream
- 2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Chopped Pecans
- Caramel Sauce
The fun thing about this ice cream is you can change up the mix-ins. You could mix in anything like cookies or fruit to get the ice cream you are craving!
Homemade Ice Cream Recipe:
Step 1 - In a bowl stir together the sweetened condensed milk and the vanilla extract.
Step 2 - Put your whipping cream in a bowl and whip until you have stiff peaks. I whipped mine on high for a little over 5 minutes.
Step 3 - Gently fold your whipped cream into your sweetened condensed milk and it is all nicely incorporated.
Step 4 - Pour half of your cream into a loaf pan. Add mini chocolate chips, chopped pecans, and caramel sauce. Add a little or a lot depending on what you like. Gently swirl the mixins into the ice cream. Repeat with the rest of the cream and chocolate/pecans/caramel.
Step 5 - Add just a teeny bit more caramel, chocolate, and pecans to the top to make it look pretty then cover with cling wrap and stick into the freezer for 6 hours or overnight.
This recipe seriously takes less than 10 minutes to make. The hard part is waiting for 6 hours for the ice cream to freeze!

Our Baking Essential List
- We use Glass Baking Dishes for baking casseroles. I especially like the dishes with lids because leftovers can be transferred straight to the fridge.
- Silicone Kitchenware is my favorite because they don't scratch my cookware and is easy to clean!
- A Glass Cutting Board is a must to prepare all of those ingredients. We even keep ours on our counter at all times.
- This Knife Set will also become your favorite! The knives cut beautifully, and the hollow design prevents food from sticking to the blade.
