- 1 pint Blueberries
- 1 pint Raspberries
- 1 lb Strawberries
- Angel Food Cake
- Puff Pastry
- Cool Whip
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1 Egg
- Star Cookie Cutter
Mixed Berry Sauce:
Remove the tops of the strawberries and then cut them into halves or quarters.
Rinse all of the berries and separate them into 3 bowls.
In the smallest bowl, you only need a small handful of raspberries and blueberries. These are to be used as garnish or decoration so you don't need many.
Equally, separate the remaining berries into two larger bowls.
To the other two bowls, add 1 tablespoon of sugar.
With a potato masher, mash the berries together. Leave one of the bowls of fruit a bit chunky. In the other bowl, mash everything really well so there is a lot of juice.
Take the two larger bowls and mix them together. This will give you a nice berry sauce.
Place the berry sauce in the fridge until you are ready to pull everything together.
Star Shaped Pastry Puffs:
Shapes are super easy to make with puff pastry. The instructions are even on the side of the box!
Pull out the pastry and set it on the counter to defrost. This takes about 40 minutes.
Once the pastry is thawed, unfold the pastry and begin cutting out the stars with a star cookie cutter.
Place the stars on a cookie sheet and brush with an egg wash (1 egg with 1 Tbsp. of water).
Sprinkle with sugar and bake according to the directions on the box. Mine baked at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
All that is left is to assemble our desserts and they are ready to be eaten
On a plate, add a slice of angel food cake, and a start pastry puff. Place a dollop of cool whip on top, drizzle with the mixed berry sauce, and top it off with a few fresh berries.

Our Baking Essential List:
- For baking casseroles, we use Glass Baking Dishes. I especially like the dishes with lids so leftovers can be transferred straight to the fridge.
- Silicone Kitchenware is my favorite because they don't scratch my cookware and is easy to clean!
- A Glass Cutting Board is a must to prepare all of those ingredients. We even keep ours on our counter at all times.
- This Knife Set will also become your favorite! They cut beautifully, and with the hollow design of the knife, food doesn't stick to the blade.
