Valentine's Day is right around the corner!
Restaurants are crazy busy this night of the year. While I love going out, I don't enjoy it when it is so busy!
This year we are going to be staying home and enjoying Valentine's Day at home.
Of course, I have to whip up something special, and these individual cheesecake hearts are a perfect ending to our home-cooked meal.
Ingredients You'll Need For This Recipe:
- 2 Jello Cheesecake Mix
- 6 tablespoons Sugar
- 8 tablespoons Butter
- 3 cups cold Milk
- 1 pound Strawberries
- Baking Sheet
- Aluminum Foil
- Heart Cookie Cutter
Instructions:
Prepare the Strawberry Sauce from this recipe.
Line a 13x9-inch baking sheet with aluminum foil.
To fill the baking sheet we need to make two boxes of cheesecake mix.
Mix according to the package directions.
Instead of pressing the crust into a pie plate, press the crust onto the 13x9 inch baking sheet. Then spoon the cheesecake filling over the crust.
Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Gently lift out the cheesecake using the tinfoil as handles.
Place on a flat surface and pull the tinfoil on the sides down flat.
Press a heart-shaped cookie cutter into the cheesecake.
Using a small spatula transfer the heart to a plate while the cutter is still in the cheesecake.
To remove the cookie cutter, use a small spoon and press down in the center of the cheesecake. It should slide slid right out. It may leave a little indentation but that will be covered up by the sauce.
Place a couple spoonfuls of Strawberry Sauce on top. This recipe could easily be adapted to raspberries or even a mix of berries. So yummy!
I was able to get six cheesecake hearts out of the 13x9 pan.
The amount you are able to get will depend on the size of your cookie cutter. Mine measured about 2 ½ x 3 inches.
Don't forget the scraps! They were still delicious just not cut in cute hearts.
I think this is such a fun idea for special occasions like Valentine's Day, an anniversary, or a romantic dinner.
Our Baking Essential List
- We use Glass Baking Dishes for baking casseroles. I especially like the dishes with lids because leftovers can be transferred straight to the fridge.
- Silicone Kitchenware is my favorite because they don't scratch my cookware and is easy to clean!
- A Glass Cutting Board is a must to prepare all of those ingredients. We even keep ours on our counter at all times.
- This Knife Set will also become your favorite! The knives cut beautifully, and the hollow design prevents food from sticking to the blade.
