Make a homemade strawberry sauce to top cheesecake, shortcake, and other desserts. Below is a Quick and Simple Strawberry Sauce Recipe.
Summer desserts are some of my favorites, especially when those desserts can be topped with fresh fruit. Yum!
This Strawberry Sauce recipe is seriously it is so easy to make. The flavors are the most robust if you can make the recipe and let it sit for at least an hour before eating.

Ingredients You'll Need For This Recipe:

- 1 lb Strawberries
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
Recipe:
Wash your strawberries and set a few strawberries to the side if you wish to garnish your dessert. Cut off the tops and any bruises. Quarter the strawberries and put them in a bowl.
Add some sugar - depending on how sweet your strawberries are I only add 1 to 2 Tbsp. of sugar.
Use a potato masher to smash up the strawberries to your preference.
I like mine to be pretty mashed with a few bigger bits of strawberry.
Once everything is mashed up nicely, place the bowl in the fridge until you need it. Wait at least 1 hour before topping your dessert so the sugar has time to fully dissolve.
Spoon the sauce over your cake, or whatever it is and enjoy!
You can also add a dollop of whipped cream like I did here on this slice of Angel Food Cake. So good!!

Our Baking Essential List:
- For baking casseroles, we use Glass Baking Dishes. I especially like the dishes with lids so leftovers can be transferred straight to the fridge.
- Silicone Kitchenware is my favorite because they don't scratch my cookware and is easy to clean!
- A Glass Cutting Board is a must to prepare all of those ingredients. We even keep ours on our counter at all times.
- This Knife Set will also become your favorite! They cut beautifully, and with the hollow design of the knife, food doesn't stick to the blade.

Yummy!! I wish I would have had this recipe last week. I made homemade no bake cheesecake with strawberries on top. I bought a glaze for the strawberries (my mom said it was really good, but I had never had it before). It wasn't the taste and texture I was going for. This would have been perfect!! Guess now I will have to make another cheesecake...lol!!
