Make the BEST Meatloaf Recipe that your kids will ask to eat for dinner! Made with Heinz Classico Pasta Sauce.
There is no longer a reason to dread Meatloaf for dinner! My kids love eating meatloaf and you will too once you try this totally awesome yummy recipe. It will quickly become one of your family favorites, just like it is one of ours.
It all starts with Heinz Classico Family Favorites line of sauces. There are lots of great combinations of flavors, but for my meatloaf, I prefer the Traditional.
You can find Heinz Classico Family Favorites Pasta Sauce at Walmart in the Spaghetti Sauce Isle. But don’t let it fool you. This sauce isn’t just for spaghetti.
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 3/4 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 dry onion soup mix
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 Heinz Classico Family Favorites Pasta Sauce
Heat oven to 350.
Add ground beef, bread crumbs, onion soup mix, and beaten egg into a bowl.
Combine all ingredients. I personally like to get a little dirty and use my hands.
Make sure that all of the ingredients are mixed well together.
Put the meat mixture into a loaf pan. You can see that my loaf pan is well
Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Then take the Heinz Classico Family Favorites Sauce and spread about half of the jar on the top.
Put back in the oven and bake for 30 minutes more.
Heat the remaining sauce in a saucepan. My kids love the sauce and like to smother their piece with the extra sauce.
Normally, I serve meatloaf directly from the loaf pan. But since this is for a blog post I had to make it pretty. I carefully removed it from the pan onto a serving plate.
Doesn’t that look delicious? Well, guess what, it is! Time to dig in.
I think it was a success because this is what it looked like by the time we were done.
