Chocolate stir spoons are the perfect way to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. An easy DIY craft tutorial idea and fun to give as gifts.
Do you love hot chocolate? It is starting to get cold outside and that means it is Hot Chocolate season!
Today I am going to show you how to make Hot Chocolate Stir Spoons. They are the perfect addition to a nice cup of hot chocolate, and they add a little bit more chocolate flavor as well as a hint of peppermint.

How to Make Hot Chocolate Stir Spoons
Begin by laying the spoons out on some wax paper.
I used Chocolate and Vanilla flavored CandiQuik.
I have this fancy squeeze bottle for chocolate. This tool is nice because you can melt the chocolate right in it and then the spout makes it easy to control when pouring it. But you also just as easily dip the spoon in the chocolate, and that would work just as well.
I also added just a couple of drops of peppermint oil to the chocolate, and then shook it to mix it in well. The oil is strong so it really doesn't take very much.
Carefully squeeze the chocolate into the bowl of the spoons.
I sprinkled some Andes Peppermint Crunch Baking Chips on the spoons before the chocolate sets. These chips are really good plus they make the stir spoons even cuter and are totally worth it.
After the chocolate sets and hardens I wrapped each stir spoon individually in plastic treat bags.
For a cute gift, I added two Hot Chocolate Stir Spoons to a mug with 2 packages of hot chocolate and a candy cane.
