- Wooden Plaques
- Cute Cupcake Liners
- Scrapbook Paper
- 2-inch Circle Paper Punch
- Elmer's Dot Runner
- Ribbon
- Metallic Paint Marker
- Scissors

The wood plaques I used are about 5 inches square, but I couldn't find the exact ones I used online. You can use any laser-cut MDF shape you can find.
Instructions
Start by making trees with cupcake liners.
Press the cupcake liner flat with your hand and then fold it in half.
Fold three more times, as shown below, so the liner looks like a tree.

After folding it, you will probably have a slight excess hanging off. Just trim that off with your scissors.
Take your dot runner and use it to adhere the flaps down so the trees keep their shape.
Then set them aside.

Paint an edge around the blank plaques with a paint marker.

I used my painter (in pearl red) to trace around the edge of my plaque and let it dry.

Cut out 3 circles, for each ornament, from Christmas scrapbook paper.

Apply tape runner to the back of the cupcake liner tree, then arrange the three circles behind it, keeping everything evenly spaced.
Flip the tree shape and circle face down to apply adhesive to the back.

Center the tree and circles on the front of the wood plaque, then press to adhere.
Last, hot-glue a strip of ribbon to the back so you can hang them on your tree!

Don't you just love a good handmade ornament? I am really looking forward to making some with my kids.

These are so cute. I'm also making a lot of ornaments this year... but our transition to a completely handmade tree is a bit more gradual than yours! Good luck getting it all done in time. Looks like you are off to a stellar start. Pinning this project. 🙂

Thanks so much Karen! I'm doing better than I thought, it might not have ALL handmade ornaments, we'll see, lol!
