Create DIY Home Decor you are proud of and paint your own wall art! A collection of 20 Painted Wall Art Ideas that will inspire the artist inside you.
Two years ago we purchased and moved into our new home. In that time, I have done very little decorating. I have dreams of a perfectly decorated house... but HOLY COW IT'S EXPENSIVE! Have you been to a home store lately? I love to go walk the isles, browse and dream but I have such a hard time shelling out a couple $100 for a square piece of canvas that has paint on it. I often tell myself "I could do that!", but I just never do. So here it is, two years later and my walls are STILL completely empty.
Well that needs to change. I am determined to work on my home decorating skills and start getting some art up on those walls!

You sound just like me! I have visions of my home decorated beautifully- like the homes on Fixer Upper- but it is soooo much $$! I love these ideas!
Katie
Yup, you've got me picked! Someday that is going to be my home! 🙂 Someday. Thanks Jo.
Crystal Green
These are some beautiful pieces of artwork. I love the painted flower! I wouldn't have thought to do even half of these.
Thank you for sharing this with us on the #HomeMattersParty. We hope to see you again when we open our doors at 12 AM EST on Friday.

I've been needing a round-up like this! So much inspiration! I'm definitely pinning. One tip I read is to use a thrift store painting for your canvas and paint over. It saves a little more $$ 🙂 Here it is: http://www.ishouldbemoppingthefloor.com/2016/06/diy-vintage-canvas-tutorial.html

I am so glad that you like the Round-up Jessica. Thanks for sharing such a great tip. I agree, covering an old canvas is the way to go.

The wood art and ombre art pieces are definitely going to be tried in my home! I have no new pieces of artwork because of how expensive they are. I hope mine turn out just as nice! Thanks for sharing
Katie
I am so glad that you like them Melanie. Best of luck with your art projects. I am sure they are going to turn out beautifully!
