Make a delicious snack that's both delicious and healthy. This Instant Pot Pumpkin Applesauce Recipe is the perfect combination of your favorite Fall Flavors!
I just shared my first recipe in a loooong time yesterday, and here I am sharing another one! I've been wanting to get back into sharing recipes lately because I figure blogging about my house forces me to decorate my house, then naturally blogging about food forces me to cook right? That's my theory anyways. I hope you enjoy this Instant Pot Pumpkin Applesauce.

Today I'm joining some lovely ladies to share some Fall Recipes, and you can see all their recipes at the bottom of this post!
Instapot Applesauce
This Instant Pot Pumpkin Applesauce Recipe is the perfect way to combine a few of everyones favorite Fall Flavors - Apples and Pumpkin. I've made applesauce in a crock pot, and even on the stove, but I think the Instant Pot is my new favorite method. It's quick and easy and leaves your kitchen smelling amazing! If you don't already have an instant pot, you can click here to buy one!
Pumpkin Applesauce
When I make applesauce I prefer to peel the skin off. I know some people leave it on, and you totally can, but this is my personal preference.
I also used cinnamon sticks instead of ground cinnamon. I'm not really sure this makes a difference taste wise, but I like to think it does! Or maybe I just like the idea of using cinnamon sticks.
Let's get cooking!
Instant Pot Pumpkin Applesauce
Ingredients
- 3.5-4 lbs Apples about 6-7 large apples
- 1 Lemon juiced
- ½ can Pumpkin Puree about 1 cup
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- ¼ tsp Cloves
- ¼ tsp Ginger
- ½ tsp Nutmeg
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- ¾ cup Water
Instructions
- Cut and Peel all your apples. I prefer to use an apple slicer first, and then peel the skin off. Cut each apple slice in half and place all pieces into the Instant Pot.
- Place all other ingredients in the Instant Pot.
- Place the lid on the pressure cooker and set the vent to Pressure.
- Set the pressure cooker to cook for 8 minutes on high.
- Once it's done cooking let the steam naturally release for about 5 minutes before releasing the vent.
- Once you've removed the lid, use a potato masher to stir the applesauce and crush up any remaining apple chunks.
- Enjoy fresh, or chill in the fridge.

If you only have a 12" cast iron skillet and need to expand a recipe, consider doubling or halving the ingredient proportions to fit the bigger pan size. Cooking times should be adjusted accordingly. Good luck in the kitchen!
