Ingredients
This recipe is incredibly easy and a great way to use ripe bananas!
Use your favorite chocolate, whether it's milk, white, or dark. I went with melting chocolate, which is more similar to milk chocolate.
They don't need toppings, but toppings are so much fun, and there are so many different options.
- Peanut Butter
- Coconut Flakes
- Sprinkles
- Nerds
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Crushed Cereal
- Broken Pretzels
- Chopped Candy Bars
- Crushed Oreos
- Chopped Nuts

Notes
Tips for Success
- Use bananas that are slightly ripe with brown spots. The ripe banana is sweeter, making it an ideal choice for a summer treat.
- Cut out large brown spots before freezing.
- Apply other "wet" toppings before dipping the banana in chocolate. I like to apply melted peanut butter with a brush before dipping in the melted chocolate.
- Melting and remelting the chocolate can create small chunks. Work quickly so you don't need to remelt.
- If making for a party or event, store the popsicles in Individual Popsicle Bags.

My daughter sings "Let it Go" constantly from the movie. I was thinking I could wait to give her the movie in May for her birthday, but I am not sure we can wait so long! The movie is so cute and there are a lot of great songs. Your banana pops looks fabulous! Thanks for sharing. Kari

Thank you!! I hadn't thought of the joy of banana pops!
When the weather gets warmer, I like to slice up ripe bananas and freeze them with fresh berries on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Throw them in the blender with a little fruit juice and make homemade non-dairy ice cream. 🙂 LOTS of creative wiggle room!
Happy Spring!!

These look really delicious! This is a great way to give the kids a cold and healthy treat!
