The best iced tea gets even better with lemonade ice cubes. Easy to make, super refreshing, and perfect for sipping all summer long.

When it's hot outside and you're trying to avoid turning on the oven or moving much at all, the only thing I want is something cold and refreshing.
This iced tea recipe is my summer go-to, and I've added a fun twist that makes it even better: lemonade ice cubes!
They slowly melt into the tea, so the drink stays cold and flavorful instead of getting all watery and sad.
It's great to sip at backyard BBQs, front porch lounging, or just surviving a hot Tuesday afternoon.

- Bigelow English Teatime
- Fresh Mint
- Sliced lemons for Garnish
- Homemade Lemonade
For this recipe, I am using English Teatime because it is a basic black tea, but feel free to substitute it with your favorite tea flavor.
If you don't like sweetened tea or are trying to cut back on sugar, simply eliminate all sugar from the recipe, even in the ice cubes.
We drink unsweetened iced tea around here quite a bit. It's a great way to give the kids a special drink without lots of sugar.
How to Make Lemonade Ice Cubes
The lemonade I used is my own Lemonade Recipe. It is excellent to drink on its own, but it adds the perfect sweetness when frozen as ice cubes!
Cut up a few mint leaves and drop the small pieces into a dry ice cube tray.
Then fill with lemonade and freeze.
It will take about 3-4 hours for the cubes to freeze. These are great to make ahead and keep in the freezer.
Iced Tea Recipe with Lemonade Ice Cubes

- Add your tea bags to the water and let them steep for 10 minutes.

- Fill the pitcher to make 3 quarts of tea.

How to Store Iced Tea
To properly store iced tea, use a clean airtight container, like a bottle or pitcher, in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
For optimal freshness, enjoy within the first 24-48 hours.
Keep frozen lemonade ice cubes in the freezer for up to 6 months. They can be kept for up to a year, but they may lose flavor over time.
Final Thoughts
The best part of using lemonade ice cubes is no more watered-down tea!
As the ice cubes melt, the beverage stays cold longer and has the perfect blend of natural flavors. It really is refreshing.

Love ice tea in the summer!! I drank 3 glasses at lunch, but I sweeten mine with Truvia. You should be happy that you are in Wisconsin. It was 111 degrees today in Houston. Super hot!! That's probably why I drank so much tea and water. LOL!! Thanks for the ice cube idea. Perfect!!

Iced tea is one of my favorite beverages, especially on a hot summer day! I love the refreshing taste of cold tea and the sweetness from the added sugar or honey. I also enjoy trying different varieties of iced tea, from classic black tea to fruity herbal blends. It's a versatile drink that can be enjoyed any time of day and is perfect for quenching thirst or serving as a light refreshment. I highly recommend giving iced tea a try if you haven't already!
