Happy Friday Friends! As summer becomes more and more of a reality and we're settling into our new schedules I'm excited to start sharing our Summer Home Tours with you! Today I'm teaming up with a group of amazingly talented women to share some of our summer spaces. A big thank you to April from House by Hoff and Krista from The Happy Housie for putting all this together! I'll be sharing our Summer Dining Room Tour today, and just in case you missed it I also shared our entryway earlier this week.

If you're here visiting from Place of my Taste, Welcome! I'm so happy to have you here, and I hope you enjoy our little Summer Dining Room Tour.
I actually just replaced our X Brace Dining Room Table with this new vintage find I refinished! (I'll have the tutorial up for that tomorrow!) I loved our old table, but it was too long for this space. When I found this old library table for $40, I knew it was going to be just what I was looking for!
One of my favorite features are the little drawers. When I was a girl we had a dining room table with a drawer in the apron, and I remember keeping my small toys in there and using it as a place to play! I'd also lay under that table and pretend to "fix it" with the allen wrench set my dad let me have. Now that I've cleared up my weirdness... haha...
Summer time is usually pretty hectic, especially since I work from home. I've got deadlines to meet alongside my kids begging me to go to the pool, the park, and pretty much anywhere except home. Considering I never sit down, I really wanted to go for a simple summer space where we gather for our meals. I definitely didn't want to have anything on the table that I would constantly have to move for meals. This little sugar mold and some clippings from the bushes in our front yard was the perfect solution!
Sometimes you just have to use things from your yard!
Simple Summer Dining Room Tour
When we moved away from Texas I loved winter - I craved cold weather. Now that I've lived around snow I have a renewed appreciation for the summer! At the end of the day though, I've learned to enjoy the parts of each season. Summer to me just feels like it needs to be simple. It needs to be ready to go at the drop of a hat and very clean and bright, just like summer life!
What are some of your favorite ways to bring summer into your home? I'd love to hear how you enjoy this time of year!

My plans for this summer is to take start redoing each room one week, if that's how long it take to complete. I love the pictures on your wall. The centerpiece on your table, and other ideas in your design. Thanks for sharing, and giving me a direction to go into.
