Make a Coke Slushie Recipe with Just One Ingredient. It's a super simple treat that turns your favorite soda into a fun frozen drink with barely any effort.

Two glasses of cola slush with ice crystals on a metal tray, with three spoons beside them.

If you love an ice-cold soda, this Coke slushie recipe is one of those little tricks you'll want to remember-especially on a hot summer day.

It takes a regular can of Coke and turns it into a frosty, scoopable treat with that same classic taste you already love.

I made these for my kids after a long day, and they were instantly obsessed.

Honestly, it's one of those things that feels way more exciting than it should for how easy it is.

Ingredients

  • 20oz Coke
Bottle of Coca-Cola with a red cap next to an empty glass on a metal tray.

That's it! Just one of the easiest ingredient lists ever. 😄

(And technically, you'll need a freezer too.)

Equipment

  • 1 Gallon Freezer Bag

Ingredients

  • 20 oz Coke Bottle

Instructions

  • Chill your Coke in the fridge until cold.
  • Pour it into a gallon size freezer bag and remove as much air as possible.
  • Shake it up and place in the freezer.
  • Let it sit for 2 hours, checking it at 1 and 1.5 hours.
  • Break any pieces apart with your hands to avoid it forming a solid block.
  • Remove once desired consistency is reached.

Notes

Freezing time will vary depending on your freezer, just leave it in there until you are ready to eat it.
I left our remaining amount in the freezer over night and it was still fine, it does start to get that "flat" taste when left in there for a while though.
Note: Diet sodas freeze faster so keep a closer eye on them.

The taste is exactly what you'd expect-classic Coke, just colder and more fun. It's one of those simple ideas that somehow feels like a treat every time.

The kids had a blast with this, and honestly… so did I.

Spoon holding a scoop of cola slush above two glasses filled with icy cola slush on a tabletop.

Tips for the Best Slushy Consistency

  • Don't let it freeze all the way solid-you want it icy, not a block
  • If it does freeze too much, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes

You can also try this with other sodas, but keep in mind that diet versions tend to freeze faster.
