Admittedly I'm not much of a jewelry person, but as I get older I have started caring a little bit more about how I look. I was totally the kid in high school that showed up everyday in pajamas. Always being involved in theatre left me covered in sawdust every day so I never saw the point of getting all dressed up. Not a whole lot has changed in regards to the sawdust, but I do enjoy getting dressed up for date nights and work trips. And since dressing up kind of requires some form of jewelry I decided I needed a place to start storing mine instead of an eyeglasses case (true story). Here's my new DIY Industrial Jewelry Organizer.

The Home Depot offers Workshops at all of their locations for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels. Prepare to learn something new!!
There are three types of Workshops offered: Do-It-Yourself (DIY), Do-It-Herself (DIH) and Kids. Customers can learn how to build décor projects, how to make easy home repairs and how to operate tools through demonstrations and step-by-step instructions. There is something for everyone, I promise!
They will be making this easy to build Jewelry Organizer:
As you can see I made a few adjustments to mine : )
I built it exactly the same as The Home Depot will be showing on Thursday, I just added these turnbuckles to mine to create a longer jewelry organizer connecting my three different frames. You know I gotta have a little industrial!
I also added these fun knobs I found in the hardware section. They sort of mimic the look of industrial pipe, which is right up my alley!
I used the top knobs for bracelets so they didn't hang down in front of the second frame, but you could also use it for shorter necklaces.
The outside knobs I used for long necklaces allowing them to drop in front of the frame.
Supplies:
- Industrial Knobs
- 1x3's cut to desired size
- Corner Braces
- FolkArt White Milk Paint
- Paint Brush
- Aluminum Sheet
- Turnbuckles (I used 3 ¾" turnbuckles, this is the closest I could find available online)
Tools Required:
- Miter Saw or Circular Saw
- Drill
- Orbital Sander
- Drill Bits

For those who love jewelry, these organizers are a must. There are a lot of them in my family, and my husband and I regularly replenish each other's collection for various holidays. And I have already chosen gold pendants for men here.
