Instructions:
This process is really easy and works to remove labels from both glass and plastic containers.
Run the hot water from your sink. If your water doesn't get very hot, you may need to boil some water.
Add some hot water to your container. You only need enough to cover the label when it is laid on its side.
Leave the container on its side for about 3-5 minutes.
That hot water is going to warm up the adhesive on the container making it easier to remove.
After the time has elapsed, turn the container over, and begin peeling up the label from the corner.
If you are dealing with stubborn stickers that aren't ready to peel yet, dump out the water, fill it with new hot water, and sit for another 3-5 minutes.
All labels are different, some will peel perfectly, and the next will tear and be a bit more difficult, but the sticker adhesive will come off.
Once the sticker label is off, you will probably notice a little sticky residue, and maybe even a bit of paper that didn't remove all of the way.
Pour about a nickel-size of Goo Gone onto a paper towel.
Go over the residual adhesive with the Goo Gone.
I could feel the residue wares through the paper towel, so I knew where to wipe. I also used my thumbnail on top of the paper towel to scrub where needed, but you could also a plastic scraper.
Once all of the residue had been removed, I repeated the whole process to remove the label on the opposite side of the container.
The Goo Gone is a little greasy, so now that all of the labels and residue are gone, wash the container with some good grease-fighting dish soap.
Dry the container really well, and then you can refill it with whatever you want!
I went through my pantry, found open bags of candy, and filled my jars.
These containers make it so much easier to see what I have in my pantry. I love them!
What will you put in your new containers?

Can these jars with the chalk board label be washed or placed in pressure cooker time after time
Katie Adams
I would not recommend that. They are after all just a sticker, so they will come off easily.
Thanks for the great question!
