Watermelons are a must at our family's 4th of July gatherings, and today I created a tasty Salted Watermelon Slushie  for you and your family to enjoy.  These slushies are perfect for an outdoor gathering when the heat is on! I know some of you may be questioning the salt and watermelon combination, but any southerner knows a little salt enhances the flavor of watermelon. It is a combination that is a must try! Enjoy these Salted Watermelon Slushies on a hot summer day! #ultimateredwhiteandblue

Place 5 cups of seedless, cubed watermelon in a blender. Puree the watermelon and then add granulated sugar, kosher salt, and ice. Blend to your liking and pour into serving cups. Garnish with fresh blueberries and watermelon star skewers! Enjoy 🙂

Salted Watermelon Slushies

Beat the heat with these Salted Watermelon Slushies! Sweet, refreshing, and with just a hint of salt to make the flavor pop-perfect for hot summer days.

Servings 5 cups

Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups seedless watermelon cubed
  • 1-2 TBSP granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • 4 cups ice

Instructions
 

  • In a blender puree the watermelon.
  • Next add sugar, kosher salt, and ice.
  • Blend to your liking.
  • Enjoy and garnishes with fresh blueberries and star watermelon pieces.
