This bathroom has been a work in progress for a few months now. I've been sharing sneak peeks on Instagram, but it feels like it has taken forever to complete! A big thanks to those who have been patient with me! And today I am beyond excited to finally share our Industrial Farmhouse Bathroom with you!

I originally shared my Bathroom Design plans a few months ago, and I think I actually stuck pretty close to my original plan, which is pretty amazing because I'm pretty well known for changing my mind, like every 5 seconds!
Before we dive into the rest of the pictures, let's take a look at the before shall we? (You can read more about that here, and see more pictures!)
BEFORE
AFTER
Pretty exciting difference right? A vanity that is actually perpendicular to the floor, and not angled back so that the doors swing wide open! Genius!
Our Industrial Farmhouse Bathroom remodel was pretty much inspired by this gray vanity from Wayfair.com. It was everything I was looking for to blend my love for both farmhouse style and industrial style. It offers great storage and it came with the vanity top which just so happened to be exactly what I was looking for! Win!
The shower caddy (also from Wayfair.com) is something I have always wanted because I'm not sure there is much more I hate in a bathroom than when we have bottles of shampoo falling off all corners of the tub. I'll be honest... it won't look like this for long, but we can all pretend our lives are this organized and pretty right? But really... it helps SO much with storage in the bathroom, especially if you don't have a built in storage area in your tub surround.
I hope you enjoyed our little Industrial Farmhouse Bathroom Tour! If you want to shop in this room, I'm sharing links to the items below.

Awesome job! Gorgeous. Have you made the tutorial for the shelving yet? We are remodeling our bathroom now and that shelving idea is just what I want to do. Can you email me the info on how to install them? Thanks Michelle ????
Katie
I haven't yet. But it is on my to do list! We just moved from Wisconsin to Utah, so I'm running a little behind, but I promise it will be up soon! : )
Kasey
Where did you get the "Flush" sign?
Katie
I actually made it. I have a tutorial here if you'd like to know how to make your own : ) https://thecraftyblogstalker.com/diy-industrial-farmhouse-bathroom-sign/ thanks for stopping by!
Cecilia
Gorgeous! I thought the vanity in the before photo was leaning because of how you took the photo but no, it was really like that. Crazy! Love everything especially those shelves. I'm going to find somewhere to use some like that!
Katie
haha! SO funny, because I felt so off balance when I walked in there. That was seriously the most awful design I've ever seen, lol!
Kathy
Would you please share the paint color ?
Your bathroom makeover is beautiful
Katie
Thank you so much! The wall color is Sherwin Williams Simple White : )
Sarah Martina
So excited to have this as my inspiration. How beautiful! It's exactly what I have been imagining for my home.
I see that you used Simple White on your walls... do you happen to remember what you painted your trim in? It seems to be a much brighter white that really pops. I love it!
Thanks so much for sharing all of your beautiful work!
Katie
Thank you SO much Sarah! For my trim I always just used the bright white straight out of the can in a semi gloss. I love the bright pop of white against the walls! : )
Lorena
I love seeing this bathroom makeover and the cute stuff. One of the most important pieces of information is somehow not revealed...the brand and paint color. Would you reveal that info, please?

Thanks so much Sonya! Yes, this is our first time with a shower caddy and it is life changing! : ) I don't know why I fought the bottles on the side of the shower for so long, lol!
Rebecca
What color gray is this?? I love this color very beautiful we are soon going to remodel our bathroom and I wanna paint my cabinets this color.
Erin
Hey i love how this came out! what is the paint color on the walls?
Katie
Thanks Erin! It is called Simple White by Sherwin Williams : )
Lacey
What’s the color stain?
Crystal
Hi ! I've loved this bathroom for few years! I'm finally re-doing mine! I absolutely love the card catalog drawer decor! Do you know where I can find something similar? I've looked everywhere. Thanks-
Katie
Thank you SO much Natasha!! : )
Katie
Thanks Cheryl! I actually wasn't crazy about the idea that the bathroom was wired like that cause I didn't really want pendant lights in my kid's bathroom (since they throw things ya know, lol) but I ended up LOVING how it turned out! Thanks for stopping by! xoxox
Katie
Thanks Michelle! Yes, well... after we moved it seems I need to rehang it because nobody in this house flushes, lol!!
Arlene
Did you make the FLUSH sign? If not, where did you get it?
Katie
Thank you Crystal! I was a little unsure of the big difference between the gray vanity and the rustic wood, but I'm pretty excited it all turned out because there was no way I was redoing anything again LOL!! xoxox
Katie
Bathrooms and kitchens have to be the worst things ever to go without, lol! No.. the flush sign wasn't meant to be subliminal, lol ; ) ; ) ; ) Ok, fine.... it was. And I think it worked because we just moved and I haven't hung it yet, and they aren't flushing! Hah! One point mom!
Katie
So sorry Lorena, I totally forgot to share that info... whoops! The wall color is Sherwin Williams Simple White in an satin finish! : ) Thanks for stopping by! xoxox
Katie
Your bathroom is beyond beautiful! Thank you for sharing! I am so excited for you to put up the blog on how to make the shelves. I'd love to try them in our house. The tin drawers on the shelf are really cute. Do you remember where you got them from?
Katie
Thanks so much Katie! I got them from Hobby Lobby, I don't remember where exactly. It was either in their spring section or over by all the baskets. : )
Katie

Donna
I love your makeover, but would like to suggest using the Edison bulbs in your light fixtures. Great job!
Missy
When will you put up the shelves tutorial!? I love them!!!
Melanie
I love it. Would love to know where you purchased the steal posts to hold shelves?
Celia
Gorgeous renovation!! Your Pinterest pics were the inspiration behind my son's bathroom makeover! I'll have to send you a picture once it's all done. 😉
I too was wondering where you got the metal bars holding the shelves. I purchased some "L" shaped ones from Hobby Lobby but they take up a lot of room. Thanks in advance!!!
Cathleen
Hi, can you tell me what color you stained the wood around the mirror? We are literally doing this same thing in our bathroom. Thanks!
Doris
Love! What brand and color of grey did you use on your vanity? Also, what color of stain did you use on your fabulous bathroom wood mirror? Thanks!
Tracey ZOOBKOFF
Beautiful. We are refinishing and old cabin on the water I am definitely copying your mirror - thanks. I really love the shelves. Where did you buy the hanging device ?
Tracey
Jessica
Your site is amazing! I would love to know where you got the shelf brackets for your bathroom shelves.
Katie
Hi Jessica! It is just metal pipe from the hardware store. You can find all the pieces in the plumbing section : )
Pam
Bathroom looks great!!!! I like the pump, brushes and things accessories but can't find a Walmart. Did you buy them recently?
Katie
Hmm, I bought them this year sometime. When I click on the links it says it is sold out right now. I know some of the BHG products aren't at all walmarts, so I would keep an eye out online! : )
Cindy
I love your vanity! We are in the process of remodeling our tiny bathroom. Did you just place your mirror over the backsplash of the vanity?
Katie
My mirror was actually already in place and it just so happened to work where it was at. But if you are hanging a new mirror, I would definitely suggest going right above your back splash : )
Astasha
Hi there...this is very close to what I would like to do in my bathroom, gorgeous job! I saw the floor was already there/not remodeled but I love the color of the tile (pulls together the grey and beige that I would like to do in my bathroom). Is it tile or laminate and was it in the house when you moved in or did you install it prior? If you purchased it, do you recall from where? Thanks in advance!
Sarah
Did you ever post the Shelves – DIY Tutorial? I would love to add this to my bathroom!
Stephanie
So beautiful, thanks for sharing! Can I ask what paint color you used for the walls :)?
Melissa
What sink faucet is this? Brand/name?
Christie
Can you please tell me what color paint you used!?
Michael Romero
What color did you use for the cabinets?
Renee
I absolutely LOVE the shelves and see I am not the only one! Did you ever catch up from the move and post the DIY tutorial? Thanks!
Christina
What is the name of the grey you used. So glad I found this pin because it's exactly how I incisioned my bathroom that hasn't been updated or remodeled since the 60's!! Yes, that's right! Shag carpet in the bathroom and everything even the telephone matches in color. Yikes!!
Marcee
We are in the midst of a bathroom remodel, and I love the bathroom vanity and mirror! I found the vanity on Wayfair, but it looks light gray. Did you paint yours a darker gray?
Donna
My husband and I are in the process of building the shelves, I LOVE what you did, along with all the accessories!
How far apart are your shelves?
Nicole
Could you say what the paint color of the vanity is please??
Megan
Hi there. Loving this vanity. Can you tell me though... is it really 60"?
When I click on the the link to wayfair it takes me to a 60" but it doesn't look that bag in your bathroom?
Thanks!
Brandon
This may have already been discussed and or answered but what were the colors of the walls and cabinets?
Deb
Would love to know where you bought the lights.
Carla
What was the length of your shelfs? And how did u distressed them with the gray. Thanks
Katie
Hi Carla! Unfortunately I don't remember the length of the shelves exactly and I don't live in that house anymore or I'd be happy to measure them. I did however make them just a little bit wider than the tank on the toilet if that helps any ; )
Caroline
Do u remember the color of the cabinets?
Katie
Hi Caroline, the cabinet actually came stock like that so I'm not sure of the color.
Emmalee
Hi! Love this bathroom. What kind of floor is that and where did you get it from?
Karen
I love your bathroom make over. I love how "real" it is and that you shop at regular stores. I read your post that you moved from that house and hope you find more projects to post. I am a "copy cat" decorator and will be tackling this project. Keep posting. I tend to follow your decorating tasts.
Katie
Aww thanks Karen!! You seriously just made my night!! : ) xoxox
Jill
A very handsome and beautiful bathroom! Great job! I noticed that the original tile in the tub surround was pink. Did you replace the tiles or paint them?
Katie
Thanks Jill! We actually replaced them. I did think about attempting to paint them, but they were in pretty rough shape to being with and we ended up redoing the sheetrock.
Chloe
Did you ever say where you bought or made the shelves above the toilet?
Katie
Hi Chloe, I did post a tutorial : ) You can find it here: https://thecraftyblogstalker.com/build-diy-industrial-pipe-shelves/
Katie
Thanks Jill! We actually replaced them. I did think about attempting to paint them, but they were in pretty rough shape to being with and we ended up redoing the sheetrock.
E York
Hi,
Can you tell me the colors of paint you used on the wall and trim?
Katie
Hi there! Sorry for the delayed response! The walls are Sherwin Williams Simple White and the trim is just white semi gloss straight out of the can.
Lara
This is exactly how I want to remodel my bathroom! What kind of wood did you use for the mirror and shelves? Do you recall the stain color that you used and did you use a sealer?
Lisa Flack
I may have missed it. Did you put anything special on the wood for the frame, since it would be exposed to constant moisture?
You did such a beautiful job on your bathroom. I'm in awe. I wish I had the talent and the eye to put it altogether............ and have it look that great.
Katie
I just sealed it with a spray varnish that is rated for outdoor use to help protect it from the moisture. : )
Angela
Very nice! I think you could improve the pendant lights with some Edison bulbs!!!
Doug
Great stuff. I'm buying a home and trying to prepare myself with design ideas. What do you think about applying your mirror frame as molding for the window? I'm no designer so don't laugh!
Katie
Hi Doug,
You certainly cold as long as it's just decorative around the edges of a sheetrocked window. If you need to actually replace an interior frame, I would look up the codes in your area because you want to make sure you don't have any outside air or moisture coming in. I hope that helps ; )
Michelle
I'm wondering what vanity you ordered from wayfair. I can't seem to find it on the site.
Katie
Hi Michelle,
It appears they have discontinued this model as I haven't seen it on their site in a while, but here are a few similar choices. (affiliate links):

http://rstyle.me/n/cfcvk9b66w7
http://rstyle.me/n/cfcvm5b66w7
Just make sure you have the correct size if you end up ordering one ; )
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions!
Kim
Your bathroom looks amazing! Do you know the length of the vanity?
Bobbie Parker
How did you determine how low to hang the pendant lights?
Stacia
Love he color on the walls... what is it?
Katie
Thank you! It's Sherwin Williams - Simple White : )
Laura
I love this! I really want to do it in my master bathroom, but the light fixtures are really close to the mirror. They can't be moved--well, they can, but they look ok and it would require an electrician, making the project much more expensive. . Could a thinner board, maybe 1/2 or even 1/4 (if I can find it) inch width?
Katie
Hi Laura, You can definitely use any size wood you would like to! Another suggestion would be to gut out a whole in the wood and mount the light onto the wood... you might have to add a few extra pieces of wood on the top in order to get it the light mounted completely on wood. Good luck!
Erin
Hey i love how this came out! what is the paint color on the walls?
Jocelyn
What stain did you use for your bathroom mirror and how many times did you go over the wood and the process? Would love to know!
Katie
Hi Jocelyn, here's my tutorial on how I painted the mirror: https://thecraftyblogstalker.com/farmhouse-bathroom-mirror-tutorial/ Let me know if you have any more questions! : )
crissy
Thanks for sharing your remodel. Congratulations on making it look so beautiful! The vanity looks especially great. I have been thinking about buying one from Wayfair, but am too afraid of how well made it is. We are looking for it to go in our master bathroom and possibly one for our kids'. How do you rate the quality of this vanity? Any issues that you had with it? I really appreciate your time.
Katie
Hi Crissy! I only lived with my vanity for about 3 months before we moved, however I was very surprised at how nice the quality was when I received it! The doors and drawers opened beautifully, the countertop was very solid. I would definitely purchase from them again for a vanity! It honesty seemed a lot nicer than the vanities you would by at the hardware stores. : )
Debbie Schreck
Hi Ashlee,
Your bathroom looks amazing. Job well done! I am in the process of redoing our bathroom. I love the vanity you have, but when I go to the link, the vanity that pops up is a vanity with 7 drawers and two doors in the middle as opposed to the one you have pictured which has 4 doors and 3 drawers. I am trying to find one exactly like you have because I need more of the wide space provided from the doors instead of all the drawers. Is there a way I can find the vanity that you purchased through Wayfair? Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated! Also love the shelf supports you made. Great job!
Melissa
Any chance you can post the direct link to the vanity? When I click on the links you provided, it just takes me to a grey vanity search in Wayfair. Thanks!!!
Sharon
The bathroom looks great! I have a giant mirror without a frame and you have given me inspiration to frame it. The only thing I would change in your bathroom are the light bulbs. Your rustic lights would look great with the LED Filament Bulbs. Check them out, it will make your lights really stand out.
Mk
Looks solid. Light bulbs have got to go. Anthing but the curly 1st generation leds. Get some edison bulbs in there or anything else really.
Alyssa
Absolutely love it! I'm looking to do something like this in our main bath, it has a very similar layout to yours. I have a question though, where do you have your hand towel? We don't have a good spot in our bathroom so I’ve been looking for ideas. Thanks!
Katie
Hi Alyssa! So I had that same issue!! On the side wall by the switch it stuck out too far and made it kind of weird. So I have a hand towel that has a little rope loop on it and hang it from the towel hooks. Not ideal, but the only thing that worked with kids I could come up with ; )
Irma Barajas
Hello Katie,
Do you recall where you bought the towel hooks for your bathroom?
Holly
Hello. Can you please let me know how you did the countertops? Formica? I love them, want that look in my kitchen. Thank you!
Katie
Hi Holly, These are actually a quartz that came with the vanity. I would definitely suggest a good quartz in the kitchen though if you are going with solid surface. They are very low maintenance, and depending on your budget you can get some quartz that really looks like marble!
Rhiannon
Where did you get the “flush” sign? I loooove everything about this bathroom. I am currently working on my own and a lot of which is DIY with an industrial look and soon I will be decorating. That flush sign would be perfect
Cynthia Maddaloni
Thank you so much for the detailed instructions. I have been wanting to add farmhouse selves to my bathroom for some time. Reading up on what materials I would exactly need is so very helpful. I can not wait to get started.
Thank you again.
Lyd
Hi I’m wondering what was the name of the vanity ? I am having a hard time finding it.
Cassie
Hi, just came across this pin and I love! We just finished our bathroom and I’ve been looking for gray and white Turkish towels, I noticed yours in this pin. Any chance you remember where you purchased them?
Amanda
Love the bathroom remodel! I was curious, what color is the hardware? It seems to look slightly gold or is it brushed nickel?
Cheryl
I LOVE the mix of the dark wood with the gray vanity! I ordered the same vanity last week and am now inspired to mix it with the dark wood. What color stain did you use on the mirror and the shelves?
betberry.co
Admiring the time and effort you put into your site and in depth
information you present. It's great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the same outdated rehashed information. Excellent read!
I've bookmarked your site and I'm including your RSS feeds to my Google account.
Kim
Your bathroom remodel looks fabulous! My bathroom is identical, do you have a closet next to the bathtub behind the entry door, if so, just curious what you did with yours was thinking about leaving open shelving . I have the gray vanity mine is a double thing and I had green tile and tile and I had that painted white, by a professional. Again, super job in the bathroom.
Joann Jackson
You described replacing the plastic clips holding up the mirror with washers. Do you have pictures of how this works? I can’t quite figure it out.
David
It's very attractive.
Stella
I want a farmhouse so bad!
