Print Your Faux Cross Stitch Fall Printable
This printable is provided as a high-quality PNG file, allowing you to print it in a variety of sizes.
Before sending it to your printer, I recommend placing it into a design program so you can easily resize and position it for your frame.
I like using Canva because the free version includes everything you need for a simple project like this.
If you've never used Canva before, don't worry. It only takes a few minutes to create a custom-sized print.
Create a Custom Canvas
Open Canva and click Create near the top of the left navigation panel.
Next, choose Custom Size. This is where you'll enter the dimensions of the frame you plan to use.

Be sure to change the units to inches, since Canva defaults to pixels.

After entering your measurements, click Create Design. Canva will open a blank canvas sized perfectly for your frame.
Add the Printable
Drag and drop the PNG onto your new canvas.
Resize and reposition the image until you're happy with how it fits.
If you're using a square frame, leave a little room around the edges if you'd like a small white border, or enlarge the design to fill the page completely.
Take your time with this step. Adjusting the size now helps ensure your finished printable looks exactly the way you envisioned.

Download the Finished File
When everything is centered, click Share in the upper-right corner, then choose Download.
Select your preferred file type and click Download again. The finished file will be saved to your computer or mobile device, ready to print.

Print and Frame
Open the downloaded file and send it to your printer.
For this project, I usually leave my printer settings on their default options because the results are consistently great. If you're familiar with your printer, feel free to adjust the settings to match the paper you're using.

Place the finished print into your favorite frame and enjoy an easy seasonal update that looks right at home with farmhouse, rustic, or cottage-style decor.

Tips for the Best Results
This artwork is an AI rendering designed to resemble a completed cross stitch project.
It creates a wonderfully realistic effect from a normal viewing distance, but if you examine it very closely, you may notice a few small imperfections in the stitch pattern.
Fortunately, once it's framed and displayed, those tiny details are rarely noticeable.
Paper choice makes a big difference. I recommend printing on matte photo paper or heavyweight cardstock instead of glossy photo paper.
The matte finish helps mimic the texture of fabric and gives the printable a much more authentic appearance.
Glossy paper tends to reflect light, making it obvious that the artwork is a print.
I also recommend keeping your print no larger than 12 x 12 inches. Enlarging the artwork too much makes the faux Aida cloth texture more noticeable and can make the small imperfections easier to spot.
Smaller prints create the most convincing finished result.
Decorating Ideas
One of the things I love most about this printable is how easy it is to work into your existing fall decorations.
Display it on a mantel with pumpkins and candles, add it to a gallery wall filled with harvest scenes, or place it on an entry table alongside colorful leaves and natural textures.
Because it's a printable template, you can swap it into different frames throughout the season without spending a lot of money on new decor.
Whether you're refreshing your home for September, adding vibrant colors for October, or keeping your cozy decorations up through November, this printable makes seasonal decorating quick, affordable, and fun.
