I just love appetizers, don’t you? They can be the most perfect finger foods for parties, family get togethers or during a good football game! I like having delicious things to nibble on during football games. My husband goes for the game but I usually go for the food! Nothing better than good food and an ice cold Coca-Cola! You know I am not the only one who goes for the great food!
Even if it is just my own little family I like to make special things for the games – I strongly believe my kids will remember these fun times and great memories we have made as a family!
Today I am sharing three of my go to cracker appetizers that are quick to make but delicious and satisfying! I like to use a cracker that has a nice good base for the toppings. I usually go with RITZ crackers or Wheat Thins.
You can serve the different dips on the side or have the crackers pre maid and ready to go. The first one is Prosciutto and Cheese Crackers. This is very simple to put together. Spread on your most favorite spreadable cheese, roll up some Prosciutto and cut into bite size pieces. Add on top of the cheese – so simple.
The next is oh so simple – just grab your favorite Artichoke Spinach dip from your local deli and top some crackers with that delicious dip.
The last set of crackers I made with my Bacon and Cheddar dip. This recipe has more ingredients then the other two but is still quick to assemble. Let me show you how I made it.
Bacon and Cheddar Dip
Ingredients Needed:
- RITZ Crackers
- 1 and 1/2 cups mayonaise or sour cream or greek yogurt (or a mix of two)
- 6 green onions, chopped (reserve a tablespoon full for garnish)
- 8 oz shredded cheese (I use colby Jack and Monterey)
- 1/2 cup bacon pieces
- 1/2 cups nuts – this is good for the crunch – something like sliced almonds or sunflower seeds
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Mix all of the ingredients together and place in a pretty dish. Garnish with the tablespoon of green onions and place in the fridge for a couple hours before serving.
You can serve it in a bowl along side your RITZ Crackers or Wheat Thins or serve on the crackers.
Don’t all of these look so good? They are all favorites of mine! What I love most are these are many items I already have in my fridge and can assemble and put together in no time – perfect for us busy moms!
They are even better when served with a nice cold drink – my favorite is Coca-Cola with lots of ice!
I was able to grab everything I needed for all of my cracker appetizers at my local Kroger store. If you are looking for a store near you that carries these items click here for a store locator.
I would love to hear what you enjoy topping your crackers with. Please share your ideas in the comments!
