Are you one of those people that are always cold? From September to May I constantly feel like I am freezing. A blanket is always nearby as well as a space heater that I keep by my desk year round. It usually starts with my feet, if my feet are cold then there is no hope for the rest of me being warm.

The other day I was sitting watching tv and just shivering trying to warm up when I had the idea for this foot blanket. I’m sure I am not the first to think of this, but it involved a little bit of sewing which is right up my alley.

The two blankets I used were not exactly the same size but close enough to work. I used the largest as the blanket and cut the smaller in half and made sure it at least had the same width of the main blanket. Since I sometimes wear skirts, I wanted the pocket pretty big so my feet could go inside and then cover most of my legs.

Pu the right sides of the blanket together.

Pin and trim off the excess if any.

Sew around the edges of the blanket. Turn right sides out and in less than 30 minutes, you are done! A cozy little blanket that will keep legs and toes nice and warm.

This blanket is AMAZING! I have been using it for the last couple of weeks and I love it! The pocket is great for keeping my toes warm but the pocket isn’t in the way on the days when I don’t need it like if I am wearing boots. I just lay the blanket on my lap and you can’t even see the unused pocket.

You bet I would use a blanket like this! It’s the worst when your hiking a blanket up to cover your arms/shoulders and your feet become exposed πŸ˜‰ This is a great project! Thanks for sharing at Funtastic Friday. Pinned
