Valentines Day is such a fun time to make little treat bags to hand out to friends and family. I was looking at some past crafts that I loved that were super simple and thinking about how to create them for different holidays. While looking at my Frankenstein Bags I was trying to think of ways to use this idea but for Valentine.
Valentine Hogs Treat Bag Tutorial
Supplies Needed:
- Pink Envelopes (the size of the envelope will determine the size of the bag) The envelopes I used were 5 ¾ x 4 ½
- Valentine Hogs & Kisses Free Printable
- Large Googley eyes - 2 per bag that you are making
- Black marker
- Large Pink Buttons
- Tape
- Glue Dots or your favorite adhesive
- Candy and other fun goodies
Any size envelope really should work – mine measures 5 ¾’ x 4 ½ “. To start fold over the bottom and top of the envelope – about 1 inch. Fold back and forth a bit to make a nice crease.
Unfold the bottom and top and fold over both of the sides – about ¾”. Fold back and forth a bit to make a nice crease.
Now unfold all of the folds, place your hand inside the envelope and stretch open the envelope. This part is a little hard to describe so looking at the picture would be helpful. At the bottom you will want to press down the middle and it will form some corners on each end.
Turn your bag over so the folds/tape are in the back. Glue on your eyes and your piggie nose. Use your black marker to draw eyebrows. Then print and cut out the Valentine printable and add it to the front with your glue dots.
So cute right?
So quick and easy you can make a bunch up in no time! I hope you liked it and if you have any questions on how to fold the envelope to make a bag please let me know!
