An Outdoor Summer Tablescape on a stamped concrete patio is the perfect way to enjoy a family meal this summer.

Being outdoors during a Wisconsin Summer is a must. We have a very short window of time to enjoy the warmth of the sun, the grass in between our toes, and our cranking up the grill! Before we officially move out of our house next week we had to enjoy one last summer evening meal outside on our patio! To make things a little extra fun for the kids I headed to Walmart to pick up some new Summer Decor items. Walmart Home always has great options at an affordable price point without sacrificing style! You can find everything you need for your outdoor gathering right in one store! Summer Outdoor Tabletop Decor Ideas
I'm a neutral-loving person, I think we all know that, but since I wanted things to be fun and colorful I chose these patterned plates. To add color I let the food speak for itself and served tropical fruit in a bowl to go alongside our grilled dinner! To keep it kid-friendly I placed the silverware in these fun plastic cups to keep everything on the table until it's time to eat.
I will say it again and again, but sometimes you just have to bust out the cloth napkins. Don't be afraid of them! These white napkins can easily be tossed straight into the washer after dinner. Cloth napkins are sure to elevate your dinner and make kids feel a little extra fancy ;).
Outdoor Lanterns
Adding these battery-operated lanterns is the perfect way to provide light as the sun starts to set. These lanterns also serve as the centerpiece of the table. The great thing about having a larger centerpiece is that it is easy to clean up after dinner and they can even be left outside since they can be used outdoors. Just incorporate them back into your outdoor decor after using them as part of your tablescape!
Outdoor Table setting
For this festive outdoor dinner, I layered a patterned plate, cloth napkin, and a plain white bowl. I found these striped cups, that add a summer vibe, and placed this kid-friendly silverware inside the cup. I found this to be both functional and cute. Normally I keep the silverware on the side of the plate, or on the top of the plate and napkin. BUT, I'm also a mom and know how kids like to play with their forks so... this keeps them tucked away nicely and just added a fun touch to the overall feel of the tablescape.

I feel like a lot of people are scared to use glass plates outside. Don't be! Sometimes glass plates are just worth the extra time of washing them and I can't think of a better time than when you need to slice your grilled meat! A few tips I have for eating outdoors with glass plates is to always set the table first. That way nobody is hauling the plates around. Just simply bring the food to the table and serve from their. If you need to move the lanterns out of the way until everyone has made their plates, these are super simple to set aside for a few minutes to allow for the food to be placed front and center!
