How to DIY ribbon storage solution using wood dowels and cafe rod brackets. A simple DIY craft tutorial idea that will look great in your craft room!
I have had my ribbon stored like this for years, and I love it! The ribbon is easily sorted and I can clearly see all the ribbon that I have and it just rolls off the roll. Recently, I had to upgrade to 3 bars because I was running out of room so I thought I would share with you what I do.
How to DIY Ribbon Storage
The first time I put these up I just used 2 per dowel but after a while, the dowels would droop in the middle from the weight so I suggest using 3 of the brackets, and of course, they only come 2 to a package.
I did make sure to put my brackets into the studs of the wall because I didn’t want them to be pulling out of the wall. A lot of ribbons can have some weight to it.
The Cafe Rod Brackets have a screw front so when you have your dowels filled you can tighten the screw so the dowel doesn’t move around when you are unwinding the ribbon.
I LOVE my ribbon storage!
