I used a vintage Ball pint jar for these images, but those are hard to find and a bit expensive. So I linked to a cheaper alternative above.
Plus, if you use what you already have, this becomes a very inexpensive project.
Instructions
Roll a strip of fabric around your fingers and then drop it into the bottom of a pint-sized jar.
Repeat with a second strip, and drop on top of the first.
Insert the gift card into the fabric and top with one more strip.

Then decorate the outside to make it all look super cute!
The first thing I did on the outside was tie another strip of fabric around the jar's neck and knot it.

For the gift tag, I stamped on my snowflake, wrapped some baker's twine around the bottom, and ric rac around the top.

Add some red baker's twine to the tag and tie it onto the jar.
The finished gift is so cute, and if you're gifting this to a crafter, they may like the packaging better than the gift card!

Next time you give a gift card, find a mason jar you have lying around to craft a heartfelt gift.

Awesome idea! I hate just giving the card in a regular sleave that it comes in. Thanks for sharing.

This is so adorable! I love all of the fun colors and the fact that your tag is just as sweet and personalized as the jar itself. Thanks for sharing all of these awesome ideas.
