All kids need a special element in their rooms! Learn how to make this adorable DIY Teepee that your kids will love with this tutorial!
Kids love making special little corners to play in. My kids are always creating their "home" in which they pile all their stuffed animals, and if I'm lucky, they will read in said home. It's the cutest thing when they all play house! You know, one of those mom moments where all the horrible things they have done previously in that day float away and your heart is just bursting with love!! My two boys have been sharing a room for a while now, and we just moved the oldest downstairs to his new bedroom, which left my 4 year old all alone. He's been quite sad to loose his bubby so I wanted to redo his room and make it feel super special for him! I teamed up with Home Depot to share the tutorial for this DIY Teepee!!
This teepee is a bit smaller than the average teepee because I wanted it to easily fit in his room. However, if you're looking for something bigger you can easily adjust the measurements and make it any size you need.
To make this a snug little reading space for him we added a rug and filled the teepee with a cozy blanket. Now it's the perfect spot to snuggle up and read a book.
Just to make things fun in the dark we added a string of Edison Lights to leave his room feeling like he's outdoors under the stars.
I'll be doing a full room reveal next week. First let's talk about how to make this teepee!

Very nice. I have been looking for a teepee project so I followed the link and just would like there will be more photos, specially about the step of making the pockets. I think I will have to keep looking.

So cute! I used to make forts whenI was a kid out of couch cushions and my mom was so mad. This would have been a better alternative!
