Learn how to make this stunning Modern Organic Christmas Wreath made from a grapevine wreath, faux stems, and little something extra!
It's the first official Christmas post of the year!! With the exception of last week's Cozy Modern Winter finds from Joss and Main, but this is the first project! I've teamed up with some lovely ladies for a whole Christmas series, hosted by The Happy Housie. This year where we will be sharing a Christmas Post every week! I'm kicking things off with this Modern Organic Christmas Wreath. It's super easy to make and combines some real and faux greenery for a full gorgeous look!
For this wreath I used a combination of some faux stems that I picked up at Joann's, mixed in with some clippings from my backyard! I feel like having the base of faux greenery helps you to shape things easier with a full look, but the real clippings and that organic element making the whole thing look more real!

- 18" Grapevine Wreath
- Faux Flocked Stems
- Faux Stems
- Floral Wire
- Bells - I used these, but these are another similar find
Easy Grapevine Modern Organic Christmas Wreath Video Tutorial
This is literally such an easy way to make a wreath, not only for Christmas, but any theme you need! You can watch the video below (or see it on my IG Reels Page). If you're more of a photo person, there's some pictures and steps down below for you as well!!
Use Faux and Real Stems for an Easy Christmas Wreath
I have found over the years that instead of going for all faux stems or all real stems, I like to combine the two. This allows the greenery to look real, but last longer! For this wreath I used several faux stems and cut the branches off to use for the wreath. Then I mix in some fresh clippings from my backyard. This also helps cut down on the cost of projects when you can incorporate free branches!
To attach them to the wreath I just slide the stems in between the branches of the grapevine wreath. Once I get the layout the way I want it I go back through and add some floral wire to reinforce some of the stems that don't have a solid hold in the wreath form.
For this particular wreath I arranged the stems in two different directions leaving a small gap at the top center. We will fill that in with the following steps.
Add Bells to Christmas Wreath
Once all the stems were in place I added these bells to the top center of the wreath (where we left the gap) and used floral wire to keep it in place on the back edge of the wreath.
After the bells are securely attached I used some remaining clippings to fill in the gap and cover up the exposed portion of the wreath at the top.
Hang Christmas Wreath on the Front Door
Once you've filled any gaps, go through and make sure you have everything secured to the wreath and it's ready to hang!
