Transform your dining room table from boring to beautiful with this Simple Fall Centerpiece. Together these white pumpkins and dried hydrangeas will leave your Fall table looking gorgeous!

It's no secret I have 3 kids, and it's not secret that said kids can be wild and crazy. Have you ever felt like you can't decorate because of your kids. Yeah, me too! Sometimes it's tough, but it can be done. I feel so blessed that God has given me these three beautiful children (despite what I might say during certain "episodes") and I think about them in everything I do. I think about them every time I put a decoration on a shelf, picture on a wall, or centerpiece on my dining room table. It's not always a beautiful picture in my head. Actually it's often mental images of them taking my hydrangeas and crumpling them up and throwing them in the air and pretending it's raining green water. But it's what our life is right now, and I'm ok with that! Sometimes you just have to roll with the flow!
One of my favorite things to do with centerpieces is to display them on a tray. This way when you want to utilize your whole table, you can just simple lift and remove. Just a little trick for decorating with little ones at home ; ).
This centerpiece actually came together by accident. I was decorating for my Fall Home Tour (see part 1 here, and part 2 here) and I had laid out some different stuff on my table, and before I knew it this centerpiece was born. In order to give it dimension I started added a few books underneath and covered it with a brown craft paper.
Then to create this centerpiece I included 3 craft pumpkins, a basket with hydrangeas, and 2 stems of dried hydrangeas. Then I filled in any holes with fallen leaves from our front yard and a couple pieces of wheat.
With these few simple items I have created the perfect little centerpiece for our family, completely mobile, haha!

I love when decor accidentally comes together! And even better when it's easy to transport and get out of the way of the kids' hands! It looks beautiful 🙂

I know I've already said it on Facebook, but I LOVE this centerpiece, Ashley! You and I are kindred spirits in the kid-friendly decor department. Trays are the only way I ever keep anything on our table and not catapulted across the room.
