This Pretzel Dog Recipe is easy to make and they taste delicious! Below is the step by step pretzel dough recipe to make Pretzel Dogs.

Have you ever had a pretzel dog? It is basically a hot dog wrapped in pretzel dough then baked, and OMG! They are amazing!
Lately, I haven't been able to get enough of them. It is strange because hot dogs are not usually on my must-have list. But seriously, they are so yummy that I knew I had to share the recipe with you.
For the dough, I used my bread maker but you can make the recipe by hand as well.
Ingredients You'll Need For This Recipe:

- 2 C bread flour
- ½ Tsp active dry yeast
- ¼ Tsp salt
- ½ Tsp sugar
- ⅞ C water
- 1-2 TBS coarse salt
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 12 hot dogs
Pretzel Dog Recipe:
Mix all ingredients except salt and egg. This is where a bread maker is wonderful because it takes care of all the mixing and kneading!
When the dough has doubled its size it is ready!
Preheat oven to 450
Divide dough into 12 pieces
Roll each ball into about an 8-10 inch rope and wrap around your favorite hot dog.
Place on a greased cookie sheet
Brush each dog with beaten egg and then sprinkle with coarse salt
Bake in preheated oven for 17-20 minutes till pretzel is lightly browned.
Then enjoy!

Our Baking Essential List
- We use Glass Baking Dishes for baking casseroles. I especially like the dishes with lids because leftovers can be transferred straight to the fridge.
- Silicone Kitchenware is my favorite because they don't scratch my cookware and is easy to clean!
- A Glass Cutting Board is a must to prepare all of those ingredients. We even keep ours on our counter at all times.
- This Knife Set will also become your favorite! The knives cut beautifully, and the hollow design prevents food from sticking to the blade.

Aren't they amazing Melissa? Much better than one would think. It is, after all, a hot dog! But so good!
