Make fun Witch Feet Halloween Decor for home with this step-by-step tutorial. Great craft for adults and kids.
Halloween is the big kick-off to the crafting quarter. It seems everyone feels a bit more crafty during Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas than at any other time of the year. Does this ring true for you?
So to start you off, we are going to be making a super simple craft, that is great for adults, but is also great for kids.
Using different colors, patterns, and media types are really going to get your crafty juices flowing
Supplies You'll Need to Create this Project:

- 11x14 inch Frame
- Orange Spray Paint
- Muslin Fabric
- Hot Glue Gun
- Cricut Cutting Machine
- Design Space
- Halloween Patterned Scrapbook Paper
- Black Cardstock
- Orange Cardstock
- Embroidery Floss
- Sewing Needle
- Double-Sided Tape
- Purple Lace
- Black Glitter Tape
- Black Ink
- Googly Eyes
Preparing the Frame:
Remove the glass and backing from the frame.
Use orange spray paint to paint the frame.
Cut the muslin fabric so it is just a bit larger than the frame backing. Wrap the fabric tightly around the frame back piece and secure it in place with hot glue.
You won't need the glass so you can set it aside for a future project.
Once the frame is dry put the backing back into the frame.
Cutting the Paper Pieces with your Cricut:
Cut the paper pieces using Cricut Design Space.
You can use my file in Cricut Design Space, or you can the pieces out by hand.
Paper Piece Dimensions:
- Boots: 4.5 x 4 inches - black cardstock
- Spider: 1.5 x 1 inches - black cardstock
- Leg Strips: 1.333 x 5 inches - orange cardstock
- Skirt Strips: 8.5 x 1 1.5 inches - pattern paper
Ink all the edges of the paper pieces with a black ink pad.
Assembling:
We are going to assemble from the bottom up. This is so we can make the skirt last, and make sure it fills the space needed.
So let's start with the boots!
Using a sharp needle, poke holes in the paper boots to look like laces.
Thread the purple embroidery floss into the needle and stitch your laces. Secure the floss on the back of each boot with a bit of tape.
Glue the boots to the bottom of the frame using hot glue.
To make the orange and black striped stockings, tape strips of glitter tape across the orange cardstock strips.
Place the legs into the boots and hot glue into place on the frame.
The skirt is really where you get to play with the different patterned papers and colors.
Arrange the pattern paper in the order you would like the skirt to layered.
Along the bottom of the piece, apply a strip of double-sided tape. Apply the purple lace along that edge.
Layer the rest of the pieces putting them at a bit of an angle. Run another strip of tape along the back to hold the paper in place.
Then glue the skirt into place using the hot glue gun.
For the spider, glue on two googly eyes and attached some black embroidery floss to the backside of the spider.
Pull the black floss in between the frame and backing and secure it in place with some hot glue.
Glue the spider into place on the frame.
Hang your Halloween Decor on the wall, or lean the frame against the wall on a shelf or mantle. Where ever you put it, this witch's feet are going to steal the show!
