How to Make a Quick and Easy Tied Fleece Blanket
It is helpful if you have a big space to lay the fabric out. I worked on my family room floor while watching a little Netflix! layering the one on top of the other.
Lay the fabric on top of the other with the edges lined up.
Take a good pair of scissors and make slits along one side about every inch and cut about 3 to 4 inches deep.
Then simply tie the top layer to the bottom layer with a double knot.
For the corners, cut a 3 x 3 square out so the corner is pretty much missing. Then continue down the next side cutting and tieing.
After no time, you're finished! I told you it was easy! Plus, the 2 layers of fleece make in soft and warm.
Do you have a favorite blanket you like to cuddle up with?
Sewing Essentials
- The Sewing Machine we use is a Singer Fashion Mate and has been a great machine.
- The Cricut 18" x 24" Self Healing Cutting Mat is my favorite. It has a beautiful pattern on one side and measurements on the other.
- This Rotary Cutter cuts easily and is very comfortable to hold.
- And one can never have enough Measuring Tapes! I'm always misplacing mine.
