A few days ago when I shared my Spring Mantel and a Free Printable with you I talked about how I'm seeking simplicity in my decor. I find myself becoming more and more of a minimalist every time I work on a different space. It's just becoming part of who I am the older my kids get. It's easy to get caught up in the craziness and I just want to focus on enjoying!
Today I'm so honored to invite you into our kitchen for a little tour I'm doing with some amazing ladies, hosted by April at House by Hoff and Krista at The Happy Housie. Be sure and say Hi to them! And if you are visiting from Just a Girl and Her Blog, WELCOME! I'm so happy to have you here today!
One of my favorite things about this time of year is the salads. There's something about Spring that makes me want to eat salad non stop. Maybe it's the sun shining on my face. Maybe it's everything blooming and turning green. But either way I crave it!
To me Spring and Salads go hand in hand!
I love to fill them with as many veggies as possible because I'm a huge vegetable person. I swear I could be a vegetarian if I really wanted to be..... I'd pick a salad over a steak any day!
The older I get and the older my children are I realize that the seasons aren't about the decor you hang on the walls or the wreaths you put on the door. The seasons are about what they bring your family. The memories that are created. Even the simplest of things can create the atmosphere of a season in your home.
Another thing I love about spring is the fresh scents. Fresh flowers make my heart sing!
You don't have to buy anything expensive either! Just simple fillers make beautiful arrangements!
and an occasional faux plant for the illusion ; )
If you want to prepare your home for Spring, don't let yourself get overwhelmed. Look for the things that mean Spring to your family, and subtly incorporate those things!
Enjoy every little detail!
Thanks so much for taking this tour with me today, be sure to check out all the others below! Next up on the tour is At Charlotte's House! Enjoy and see you soon sweet friends!

I love your simple spring touches, and I completely agree with you that it isn't really about hanging a bunch of stuff on the wall, it's about bringing in the fresh spring feel with the people you love.
Jennifer @ Town and Country Living
You have a beautiful kitchen! I'm a salad-lover too (and a vegetarian who occasionally eats fish for Omega 3). I try to eat a salad each day. They're so good for you!
