Create these beautiful and easy to make Fall Napkin Rings in just 3 easy steps. Customize with any color to fit your decor!
I know it's not even quite Halloween yet, but I can't stop myself from planning for Thanksgiving! Because really... thanksgiving is equivalent to how kids feel about Halloween! Our Thanksgiving table this year will definitely have some gold and I'm very excited to share these Modern Fall Napkin Rings with you!
This month as part of the Plaid Creators we were challenged to use this Apple Barrel® Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint 16 Color Set to create something for fall!
You only need a few things and a couple of minutes to make this project happen. The Appel Barrel Paint Kit I mentioned above is a great starting point as we enter holiday crafting time. My favorite thing about this kit is that it provides the same results as the Original Apple Barrel Paint but with the added value of multi-surface coverage, including tin, terra-cotta, paper mache, canvas, wood, plaster, rigid plastic, fabric, concrete, glass, and ceramics. It’s also both indoor/outdoor and dishwasher-safe. So once you have this kit, you will be set for the rest of the holiday crafting season!
Supplies:
- Applet Barrel Paint Kit (contains 16 - 2 oz. bottles of acrylic craft paint in the following colors: White, Paradise Pink, Candy Apple, Outrageous Orange, Lemon, True Green, Mountain Forest, Acapulco, Summer Sky, Primary Blue, Wisteria, Classic Caramel, Chocolate Sprinkles, Timeless Gray, Dark Granite and Black) - COUPON CODE AT BOTTOM OF POST
- Paint brush
- 24 Gauge Craft Wire - I used gold, but can be purchased in any color that fits your style
- Laser Cut Fall Leaves - Hobby Lobby
- Hot Glue Gun
How to Make Modern Fall Napkin Rings
Step 1: Paint Leaves
Using the white paint from the Apple Barrel® Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint 16 Color Set paint the laser cut leaves. Obviously you can use any color you like, but you know how I like my neutrals! I painted both sides, but did not paint the edges. It had this natural burned look that I happened to like. Then set these aside and allow them to dry while you prepare the wire for the napkin ring.
Step 2: Create Napkin Rings
Next we are going to create the napkin rings by wrapping the craft wire around the paint bottle. Multi functional craft supplies ; ). Leave a little excess on each end of the wire so you can twist them together to hold everything in place. I just wrapped mine around until they were as thick as I wanted, you can go more or less. I also didn't count mine because I was ok with having them all be slightly different.
Then just slide the ring off the bottle and you might need to maneuver it a little to keep it a perfect circle.
Step 3: Attach Leaves
Simply hot glue your painted leaves onto your wire rings and allow the glue to fully dry. That's it! Super fast, super easy with a gorgeous result!
And don't forget! I have a coupon code for the Apple Barrel® Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint 16 Color Set
