Make a beautiful and inspirational piece out of American Crafts Glitter Paper and a free printable. Perfect home decor for any room in your house.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE being a blogger! Recently I got a huge bundle of fun glitter craft items from American Crafts. Can you believe that they asked me to create a cute project using their supplies? I am so flattered!
I got so much fun product that is all about the glitter - and if you know me at all, I am too!
Next came the hard part of deciding what to make. Really, the possibilities are endless!
Remember these Paper Carnation Flowers that I featured on How to Make 20 Different Paper Flowers? I had been wanting to try them and Clare's Creation has a great tutorial and even a video tutorial!
I was really impressed with how well the flowers went together. American Crafts Glitter Paper is thicker than regular cardstock and it held up very well and I was still able to manipulate it and make it look how I wanted. ALSO, to give the petals a bit of a bend, you rub them with the lid of a pen and I was a tad worried that it would scrape all of the glitter off. But the glitter stayed strong and didn't scratch or come off!
I think the flowers are beautiful and I love the glittery sparkle of them. So I needed something to properly display them on. I spray painted a simple wood frame with some white primer spray paint
.
When the frame was dry I added a couple strips of the American Crafts Glitter Tape
And hot glued the flowers onto the frame
The frame is so cute now with these fun Glitter Paper Flowers, but something had to go in the frame so I went to Deseret Designs and found this awesome free printable.
I love it!
