This year has been a little crazy, but I mean is there ever a year that's not? I'm usually done with Christmas decor pretty quick after Thanksgiving. To be fair I actually did finish everything for the most part a few weeks ago, but I'm really late sharing it all with you guys! I've shared our Entryway, our Entryway Part 2, our mantel, the Kitchen and Dining Room, and today I'm finally getting to our Simple Christmas Living Room Home Tour!
Overall I really didn't do a whole lot this year. I think the last few years my theme has been simplifying things and that seems to be a constant in our lives here lately!
My main focus is usually our mantel, or in our case the media console. This is always a nice central spot that is great to add Christmas Decor to. Other than that, we added stockings and some cozy Christmas pillows. This wall has been needing something for a while so I also added a chalkboard with a poinsettia wreath.
Our Christmas tree was also very simple this year (shocking). I added some ribbon, ornaments we already had on hand, and that was really it.
We started a new tradition this year with each of the kids having their own little Christmas Tree in their rooms that they got to decorate all by themselves.
I really adding simple little details like this wooden bowl filled with candles that can easily be carried over into our winter decor. Because let's be real here... the last thing anyone wants to do after the holidays and tearing down their Christmas Tree is jump right back into decorating! I know I personally need some time before we jump into Spring!
So far my favorite part of this Christmas season has been the little things we have done with our kids. We made mini gingerbread houses, watched Christmas movies, baked cookies, and just spent some quality family time snuggled up on the couch! The absolute BEST thing though is when my kids finally get out for Christmas vacation and we just get to lounge around our Christmas living room cuddling on the couch, it just doesn't get much better than that!! Today is our kids first day home and it's just all about being here and enjoying the little things!

Only a few more days until Christmas so I plan on sitting right on that couch snuggled up with my kiddos as much as possible. I should also probably finish our Christmas shopping and wrap some presents.... opps! LOL!
I probably won't be around too much more for the rest of the year as I take some time to enjoy my family and do some planning for 2018. I've got some exciting things happening, big changes, and some crazy ideas. I can't wait to share it all with you, but for now... have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS friends!! <3 2017 was an amazing year here on Cherished Bliss and I certainly couldn't do it without you!
