You know how I love to share recipes that are quick, easy and something your family will love. We are all busy and hectic especially during the week. I like having something on hand I can quickly make that will get the kids running to dinner before we have to get onto our busy schedules. These meatball sandwiches is one of those recipes!
With this recipe your family can be eating dinner in less then 10 minutes! Choose your favorite sandwich bread, frozen or homemade meatballs along with the tangy sauce from Manwich and you have a tasty meal! I remember as a kid my mom would often make us sloppy joes with Manwich sauce and it was a meal we all looked forward to. My dad loved to add pickels and cheese to his sandwich. I could never get into the pickles but I sure enjoyed adding in the cheese.
Let me show you how easy it is to make!
Manwich Meatball Sandwiches
- Manwich Original sauce
- Frozen Meatballs (or homemade meatballs if you have the time)
- Favorite Sandwich Bread
- Shredded Cheese
Manwich contains no meat. So it is a great sauce to add to my own mean for sloppy joes, on meatballs for sandwiches or even on pasta! If I have the time to make my own meatballs I just love to do that. In fact I sometimes premake and cook meatballs and put those in the freezer for meals like this. I cooked up about 4 to 5 meatballs per person. Add the meatballs to a sauce pan.
Today I covered my frozen meatballs with the Original Manwich sauce.
Heat on medium stirring every once and awhile stirr. Cook until the meatballs are heated through – takes like 5-7 minutes.
Today I used Cibbata rolls for my sandwiches. I like the bun to meat ratio with these. It is a good solid bread that really holds the sauce onto the meatballs. Put meatballs/sauce onto the bottoms of the Cibbata rolls
Top with shredded cheese then broil in your oven until the cheese is nice and melted.
Enjoy with a nice green salad and you have a nice complete meal your family will love! This delicious dinner will get the family to the kitchen table and enjoying mealtime away from everyday distractions like texting and video games. Make Tonight a Manwich Night!
