This last-minute teacher gift idea is quick, practical, and appreciated—because nothing says thanks like a fresh pack of markers and dry-erase pens.

Today I dropped off two out of three children. Aubrey is in 1st grade and Addison started preschool. I was one emotional mama this morning, but I'm back home and enjoying the quiet, so I think I will make a full recovery! When you have your kids home all summer long around the clock you really develop a different respect for teachers! To take care of all those kids and actually teach them things they don't already know... I just don't know how they do it! So to say thank you up front to my kids teachers, I made them this little gift. Now, I'm not an ahead of schedule kind of person, so I made this last night. Literally. I'm writing the post this morning because life has been crazy getting ready for school. When I was out shopping earlier this week I snagged some great school supplies at Office Depot. Teachers NEVER have enough supplies on hand, so what better way to say thank you than with some extra supplies.
So for this quick little gift, I grabbed some
- Pencils
- Papermate Pens
- Sharpies
- Extra Erasers
and then you just need some
- Mason Jars
- A fun little something to print off
- Washi Tape
Last Minute Teacher Gift
Add your pens, pencils, and sharpies in the mason jars, maybe stick an eraser in there too. I literally just typed up the little printables on the front, cut them out, and taped them on with washi tape. It took minutes! And it's adorable right? Now this year Aubrey actually has a male teacher. We are so excited about this. I think it's so great to see men teaching our children, plus maybe he can tame Aubrey a little ; ) BUT I couldn't give a man all those girly colors, so I printed off a more manly one for him!
While I am already missing my little babies, I do love the school year. I love sitting down and doing my kid's homework with them and playing with all the school supplies! You are never too old for crayons right? .
Even though they weren't too excited about pictures, they are pretty excited to give their teachers their gifts! : )
