Do you want to be flip flop ready too? No one wants to see those ugly toes that have been hidden away since last September. This is an easy way to paint your own glitter toes!

How to Paint Glitter Toes

Begin by trimming those winter toenails and filing to make them pretty.

Choose any color you of polish you want and apply one coat of nail polish on your toes. When you add the colored glitter, a little of the polish shows through the glitter and can change the color a bit. If you use white glitter it will take the color of the polish. I am using an opaque white polish.

For the next step, focus on one foot at a time. You’ll want to move quickly before the polish dries. Apply a second coat of polish and pour the glitter over your toes. Make sure the glitter catch tray is under your toes so you can easily pour the unused glitter back into the bottle. After your toes are heavily covered, tap the top of your feet to knock off the excess glitter.

When both feet are done, apply 2 coats of a clear topcoat to secure the glitter to your nails.

When the polish is completely dry, you are ready for flip-flops!

To remove the glitter polish simply use your favorite polish remover. You will have to scrub a bit more because the glitter will stick to the nail, but it is much easier than acrylic.

This is so cute! It would really be fun to do for different holidays. (Though I guess if you did it at Christmastime it’d be too cold to take off your shoes and show off your toes ;)) Maybe for fourth of July.

I saw this in a link part a few months back and did it, and I LOVE it. I used a larger chunk glitter and a lot of it chipped off though. I think I may have to buy a fine glitter so that doesn’t happen next time!
