2 Bowls
1 Spray Bottle
1 Pair of Gloves optional
Ingredients
1tbspAlmond Oil
¼tspEmulsifying Wax
6dropsLavender Essential Oil
¼cupCitric Acid
1dashVioet Mica Powder
½cupBaking Soda
½cupCornstarch
99% Isopropyl Alcohol
Instructions
Pour the isopropyl alcohol into the spray bottle. You will need it later.
In a medium bowl, mix together the baking soda and the cornstarch, and set it aside.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the almond oil and emulsifying wax. Melt in the microwave at 50% power for 30-second intervals until the wax is completely melted. Add the Lavender essential oil and stir.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
Take a handful of the mixture and squeeze it in your fist. If it crumbles when you release, spray in a couple squirts of the isopropyl alcohol and remix. Repeat until the mixture holds it's shape after being squeezed.
Stir in the citric acid until evenly combined.
Divide the mixture into two bowls. To one bowl, add 1 teaspoon of dried lavender buds and stir. To the second bowl, add a dash of the violet mica powder and stir.
In one half of the mold, add ¼ teaspoon of the dried lavender buds. Then fill the rest of the way with the white bath bomb mixture. Pressing it into the mold until it is overfilled. Set aside. In the other half, press the violet mixture until it is overfilled.
Push both halves together. Slowly twist one side of the mold to remove it, and then repeat for the other side.
