Apple Cinnamon Cake Recipe

Cake:

  • ⅓ cup Apple Sauce
  • 1 cup Apple Juice
  • Cinnamon Bun Cake Mix
  • 3 eggs

Topping:

  • Chopped Pecans
  • Cream Cheese Frosting
  • M&M's Pecan Pie Flavor

Instructions

Bake the Cake

  • Preheat the oven to 350º F.
  • Prepare your cake pan per the instructions on the cake mix.
  • To make the cake batter, follow the instructions on the box, but instead of 1 cup of water, add 1 cup of apple juice.  Also, instead of ½ cup oil, add ⅓ cup apple sauce.
  • Bake according to the cake mix instructions.
  • While baking, my home smelled amazing!  When it was done it came out so pretty!
  • Let the cake completely cool before adding the icing.
  • This part is the longest for me because I just want to eat cake!

Frost the Cake

  • Chop the pecans and cut some of your M&M's in half.
  • I like adding the M&M's to the topping because they add a nice harvest color, which is perfect for this cake.
  • Spread the cream cheese frosting onto the and then sprinkle on the pecans and M&M's. Serve and enjoy!
