Craving a delicious Dairy Queen Blizzard but can't make it to the store? Try out this easy copycat recipe for a homemade version of your favorite frozen treat!
Before mixing, place the mixing bowl, and candy in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before.
Cut the Reese's cups into bite sized pieces. Since they are frozen they will cut nicely and wont smush.
Add vanilla ice cream to the frozen mixing bowl.
Add the cut up candy to the bowl.
Attach the flat beater or equivalent to the stand mixer.
Set the mixer to a low setting, I only went to two.
Continue to stir until the candy is well mixed in.
Don't over mix. The ice cream will become soft and the candy may become mushy.
Spoon the Blizzard into your cup or serving container.
Don't forget! You must serve it upside down!
Notes
I am going to make a Reeces Cup Blizzard, but this recipe can be adjusted with any flavor of ice cream and candy bar! This recipe doesn't have any measurements because I believe you should always measure with your heart when making a blizzard. This ensures the perfect ice cream to candy ratio.
