First cut a 2 inch heart in the center of the bread using a heart shaped cookie cutter.
Then butter both sides of the bread.
Next, heat griddle or skillet on medium to medium low heat and melt ¼ TBSP butter.
Lay bread on the griddle or frying pan and crack an egg in the hole. Season with salt and pepper and cook for about 2 minutes or until lightly toasted.
Flip the egg in a heart and season with salt and pepper.
Cook another 2 - 3 minutes for a runny yolk, or slightly longer for a set egg.
