Instructions
French Fries:
Cut the potatoes into fries with a vegetable cutter.
Add the vegetable oil to a large Sauce Pan and bring to a low boil.
Set the temperature to Medium-High.
The oil won't boil like water so every 5 minutes or so, get a couple drips of water on a hand and shake the drops into the saucepan.
If the oil pops, it is hot enough to fry. If it doesn't then it needs to heat some more.
Carefully drop the cut potato pieces into the hot oil. I usually fry about 1-1.5 potatoes at a time.
Each batch of fries will fry for 5-7 minutes, stirring often to prevent the fries from sticking together.
When the fries are a nice golden brown, scoop them out with a skimmer and place them on a separate plate covered with a paper towel.
Season with salt to your liking and begin frying the next batch of fries.
Continue until all fries are cooked.
Taco Meat:
Follow the directions of your taco season packet on how to make taco meat.
Prepare Other Toppings:
I grab the other ingredients and prepare them if needed.
The nacho cheese sauce needs to be heated so I pour it into a smaller saucepan and warm it on the stove.
I shred some sharp cheddar cheese and get out the sour cream and the guacamole.
Make the Plate:
Place the french fries on a plate and spread them out a bit.
Drizzle some nacho cheese over the fries followed by the taco meat.
Put a large dollop of sour cream in the middle and add guacamole.
Lastly, sprinkle with shredded cheese.
