Equipment

  • 1 Waffle Iron

Ingredients

Waffle Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 4 tbsp Butter melted
  • 1 ¾ cups Milk
  • Cooking Spray

Maple Cream Syrup Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • ½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • ¼ cup Maple Syrup
  • ¼ cup Pecans chopped

Instructions

Waffles

  • In a large bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt).
  • Create a well in the center of your dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients.
  • Stir until fully combined, and cook in a waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions (all waffle irons are a bit different!).

Maple Cream Syrup

  • Place all of the Maple Cream ingredients into a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Stir everything together with a fork or spatula until well combined. It will be thick.
  • When the waffles are hot and ready, place the bowl of sauce in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  • Stir, then cook another 30 seconds. You want the sauce hot and completely melted.
  • Pour the maple cream syrup over your waffles and top with a few more pecans.

Notes

Maple Cream Syrup Yields about 1 ¼ cups.
