Make these fun Road Trip Quiz Treat Packs with a free printable and Twizzlers. A great snack for the car that will keep the whole family entertained.
I love summer, but boy is it crazy! Both my husband and I work full time, but as soon as we get home our kids want to go to the pool, on a picnic, to a friends house or they have summer activities they need to get too. I feel like we are always in the car!
When we are all in the car together we like to talk, tell jokes and play the alphabet game. This summer I am mixing it up, and bringing in a new element of fun to all of our time spent in the car. You can too with these Twizzler Road Trip Quiz Treat Packs. I even created a Twizzlers Road Trip Quiz free printable that you can download for free to make these even easier to make!
It all starts with Twizzlers, so I headed to my local Walmart.
There was a big display in one of the main isles of the store. I didn't realize there were so many varieties! The flavors I picked up were Rainbow Twizzlers Twists, Strawberry Twizzler Twists, Cherry Twizzlers Pull 'n' Peels, and Strawberry Lemonade Twizzlers Filled Twists.
For all of the fun questions, I created this Twizzlers Road Trip Quiz free printable. Simply download and print.
The Twizzlers Road Trip Quiz free printable has 9 question boxes. Using a paper trimmer cut the squares out. Then use a corner rounder punch to shape the cards.
Now that all of my cards are ready to go, the next step is to create my snack packs. So I start by cutting all of my Twizzlers in half. Did you know the length of a Twizzler is 8 ¼ inches? It's a good thing to know, especially if you get a quiz card with that question!
I love seeing that big pile of Twizzlers when they are all cut! To package my treats I used some cellophane bags that measure 3 x 5 ½ inches.
I put eight pieces of Twizzlers into each bag. Since the Twizzlers are cut in half it actually works out to be 4 full twists per bag. Fold the top over and tape it shut with a strip of washi tape.
Punch a hole with a handheld hole punch on the top and the bottom of the card. Cut a piece of ribbon to about 15 inches and thread the ribbon through the holes so the ribbon goes behind the card. Then wrap the ribbon and card around the bag lengthwise. Tie a not at the top and trim your ribbon edges at an angle, and your Treat Pack is complete.
These Twizzler Road Trip Quiz Treat Packs are so simple to make and are fun to give. They are a perfect snack for the car because they don't melt. They are also great for any other outdoor activity like a picnic, or a day at the zoo.
The questions are a lot of fun to answer and will keep you and your family talking together. Plus, Twizzlers aren't just fun to eat, they are fun to play with too!
I've shared how I'm incorporating Twizzlers into our summer and all that time spent in the car, how do you enjoy Twizzlers in the summer? Leave me a comment and let me know!
