A few months ago I shared some of Aubrey's Superhero room with you. Then I got crazy busy with my kitchen remodel. And before I have even come close to finishing his room, I've moved stuff around. I have a hard time leaving things where I put them, plus once you get something place and live with it for a bit, you realize it functions better when used in a different way.
I originally had these storage cubes next to the dresser, both from Sauder
But Aubrey wanted them next to his bed so we used them as a bench at the end of his bed.
Yet again, we changed our minds. We used to have all the toys down in the basement, but they wouldn't ever go down there and they have HUGE rooms, so we thought we would turn their rooms into a "play room". In Aubrey's room he has a little living area with a TV, and Addison has an art station in her room. They don't have cable or anything up there, so they only get to watch TV if I bring a movie up for them, but it's nice to have when we have people over to watch a football game. Gives them a little space to go to.
These make a great place for them to prop their feet up, you know after they have a hard day at school ; ) And they can keep all their stuffed animals in there!

I have a pretty good sized Stiffel lamp that is brass. I think I want to paint it Black. Are there any special steps I have to
take before I paint, other than making sure it is clean.
I also have a Stiffel floor lamp that is also brass. Any special ideas to refinish that one.
My base colors are tones of gray with turquois and just a bit of fushia.
thanks
Ashley
If it were me, I'd probably rough it up with some sandpaper, and use a spray paint primer, then paint with a water based paint or spray paint. : ) Hope that helps! Thanks for stopping by!
