Are you excited for the upcoming Football season? We are! For me it is a time to make delicious chocolate treats and snacks for us to enjoy while we watch the game. I always like to find a time to make something yummy fo rmy family! SNICKERS® is a favorite of ours when making chocolate recipes. The boys really love watching the game. My daughter and I watch the game with the boys but we usually will be working on a craft or something. Its fun for the whole family and we get to spend time together while eating some yummy treats and food. #Chocolate4TheWin
Now let let me show you how easy this recipe is and then I will show you how I made the football boxes!
SNICKERS Caramel Crunch Recipe
- 6 Snicker Bars (chopped into bite size pieces)
- 8 Cups Cereal
- 3 Cups Pretzel Sticks
- 2 Cups Salted Cashews (or your favorite nut)
- 1 pkg caramel bits/squares
This recipe is so quick and easy and so super delicious! I start off by mixing the cereal, pretzel sticks and cashews together
I don’t add the SNICKERS yet because I don’t want the chocolate on the snickers to melt from the hot caramel.
Next I follow the ingredients on the package to melt the caramels. For me it was super simple – caramels in microwave safe bowl, 2 Tbsp. water, microwave for 2 mintues and stir until smooth.
While the caramel is in the microwave I spread the cereal mixture on a cookie sheet. Once the caramel is ready pour over the cereal and mix the cereal up with the caramel. Let cool.
I let the cereal/caramel cool completely before I add the chopped up snickers. This doesn’t take too long but I usually let it sit for several hours before I add the snickers. So while it is cooling you will want to chop up your SNICKERS.
Now that everything is cooled down I move the cereal mixture back into a bowl and mix in the SNICKERS pieces. While doing this I break up any large pieces of cereal mixture.
This is so good!!! I had a hard time keeping the family from eating it before game time!
For the football party I make these cute paper cups. They are so super easy and quick to make. If you don’t have time to make my SNICKERS Caramel Crunch recipe you could always fill these up with other candy – this is where the 105 pieces of Mars Candy comes in handy!
