Hundred Foot Journey and World Market Gourmet Getaway Sweepstakes

So by now you should all know how much I love food and good recipes.  Some of you may also know that I just LOVE movies.  I am a huge movie fan and one of my favorite things to do is go to the movies.  So I was pretty excited to see an upcoming movie about food!  Two of my favorite things combined!  Word Market is teaming up with Disney to celebrate their new movie, The Hundred-Foot Journey.  I am so excited to be working with World Market to tell you all about it!

 

So what is The Hundred-Foot Journey?  “The Hundred-Foot Journey”  is based on a best-selling book, and is directed by Lasse Hallstrom (the director of “Chocolat”) and produced by Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey.

Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) is a culinary ingenue with the gastronomic equivalent of perfect pitch.  Displaced from their native India, the Kadam family, led by Papa (Om Puri), settles in the quaint village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the south of France.  Filled with charm, it is both picturesque and elegant – the ideal place to settle down and open an Indian restaurant, Maison Mumbai. That is, until the chilly chef proprietrss of Le Saule Pleureur, a Michelin-starred, classical French festaurant run by Madame Mallory (Academy Award winner Helen Mirren) gets wind of it.

The Hundred-Foot Journey will be hitting theatres on August 8th.

So how are we celebrating the release of this movie? Several Ways!  First World Market is teaming up with two celebrity Chefs sharing International Food in delicious recipes AND they are giving away a dream culinary trip to Paris!  Yes Paris!!!  Before we talk more about the giveaway let’s talk about the two celebrity Chefs and their delicious recipes!
