Give someone you love a little happy mail with a fun handmade card. Below is the complete step-by-step rubber stamping tutorial.
Today I am working with Lara Kelly and Thermoweb. Laura Kelly has released a bunch of amazing new products, that are easy to use and look fantastic.
Laura Kelly provided some of the products used today, but all of the opinions expressed are my own.
Recently, I had a friend that I couldn't get off of my mind. I knew she was going through a rough time and I wanted to do something for her that would make her smile.
As soon as she opened her mail she called to tell me how much she loved the card. ❤️

- 1 Sheet Yellow Cardstock
- 1 Sheet White Cardstock
- Kindness On Purpose Stamp Set
- Baby Swiss Dots Toner Sheets
- Sunshine Yellow Foil Transfer Sheets
- Minc Machine
- Paper Trimmer
- Scissors
- Colored Pencils
- Stamp Block
- Black Ink Pad
- Double-Sided Adhesive
- Foam Square Adhesives
Heat Foil Transfer Sheets:
The first thing we are going to do is apply the foil to the toner sheet.
The toner sheet is exactly as the name states. It is a sheet with a pattern printed in toner ink. It has to be toner ink for the foil to adhere.
That is where the Minc Machine comes in. The Minc applies even heat and pressure which causes the foil to adhere to the toner.
To prep, place the toner sheet with the pattern facing up, and then layer the foil sheet with the colored foil side up.
Place the stack in the plastic folder provided by the Minc.
Turn the Minc on to the 2nd setting. When the light turns green it is ready to go.
Guide the plastic folder into the machine. Don't push it in, the machine will grab it, and pull it through.
Once the folder is released out of the backside, remove the stack from the plastic folder and peel back the gold foil sheet.
And just like magic, you now have a foil patterned sheet!
Cutting the Paper:
Next, we are going to cut our paper sheets down to size.
Out of the yellow cardstock sheet cut 1 rectangle that measures 3 by 4 inches, and one that is 8.5 by 5.5 inches.
Out of the white cardstock sheet cut 1 rectangle that measures 2.75 by 3.75 inches. Keep the scrap close because will be using it for our stamped image.
Out of the foiled pattern sheet cut 1 rectangle that measures 4 by 5.25 inches.
Stamping the Design:
Place the stamp on a clear acrylic block and ink with black ink.
Stamp the image on a scrap piece of white cardstock. Use the motion straight down and straight up to get nice crisp lines.
Color inside the stamped image with some colored pencils.
Cut around the design with a pair of scissors. Leave a little white edge around the entire design.
Assembling the Card:
On the white cardstock piece, place the "Happy Mail" stamp in the bottom right-hand corner.
Place adhesive foam squares on the back of the cut-out mailbox.
Center the mailbox on the white cardstock piece and press it into place.
On the back of this piece, run double-adhesive around all four edges and then center on the small yellow piece of cardstock.
On the back of this piece, repeat with the adhesive, and center this stack on top of the foiled pattern piece.
The largest yellow piece of cardstock is your card base. Fold the cardstock in half so you which side is the front.
Apply adhesive to the back of the foil pattern sheet and center this stack on the front of the card.
Now you can write a message inside and your card is ready to make someone's day!
The card turned out so cute, and I love the foiled dots.
