Did you know that over 1.6 billion Christmas cards are purchased and sent every year, and Christmas is the most popular season to send cards? I love to send and receive cards this time of year so it’s not that surprising, but 1.6 billion! Wow! I usually don’t purchase my cards, I prefer to make them. I am the Crafty Blog Stalker after all. 🙂
A good friend and I got together recently and devoted a whole Saturday just to making Christmas cards. We had so much fun and came up with some pretty cute handmade Christmas cards if I do say so myself. We used the stamps, paper, and tools that I had on hand. I am not going to include a tutorial for each card, but I hope if you are on the search for what to make for your Christmas cards this year that these can help inspire you.
Please feel free to pin each card that tickles your fancy so that you don’t lose it, and maybe you can help inspire your friends too when they see your pins!
The first four are my cards.

These next three are from my good friend Ashley.

We had a fabulous time together. We listened to Christmas songs and talked and talked. The holidays are all about spending time with friends and family after all, so it was a perfect day.
When all was said and done I liked ALL of the cards that we made. So much in fact that I would have a hard time picking a favorite. I would love to hear which one is your favorite.

Very pretty cards. The first one is my favourite! I love how personal handmade cards are and always intend to make them but rarely get around to them.

Lovely cards! I think handmade are the best. My favorite is the Work of Art Christmas tree; I have that stamp set but haven’t played with it yet. I usually make my own cards and recently taught the ladies in my church how to make some to hand out as random acts of kindness. If you want, you can see the designs we used at my blog. Glad you had fun 🙂

Thanks for this post. We make all our own Christmas cards, using lots of corrugated card, stars, shiny card. The children and I have a great time doing this. Thank you for some new ideas. Blessings
