Create a beautiful word home decor and party decor using the David Tutera Casual Elegance Bridal Collection. An easy DIY craft tutorial idea. This is a sponsored post for David Tutera Casual Elegance. All opinions are 100% mine.
Several weeks ago I came home from work and found a HUGE box of David Tutera Product waiting for me to play with! Look at all of this fun stuff!!
This is a bridal line, but I can tell you that this product can be used for so much more than bridal!
Everything in this line coordinates so you don’t have to worry about if it all matches! As I was going through the box I had a ton of ideas and projects flashed through my brain from frames, wreaths to centerpieces.
But with all of these fun products to work, with I wanted to create something new and challenge myself to come up with something new. The piece I created could easily be a table centerpiece or simply a fun home decor piece.
How to Make Beautiful Word Home Decor or Party Decor
The little metal buckets are my favorite so I had to include those in our project!
Begin by cutting off the bottom of the tags. They are just a bit too long.
To really make the tag pop, use one of the paper napkin rings as a stencil and sponge the ink onto the top of the tags.
Using white alphabet stickers apply a single letter to each tag. I went with the word LOVE. To attach the tags to the bucket handles, use some jump rings. This is a jewelry making supply but works here too!
The buckets can’t be empty! Cut a couple small Styrofoam balls in half and push them into the base of the buckets. Push the burlap flower stems into the Styrofoam to keep them in place.
For the center rod, use a wood dowel and tie the baskets onto the dowel using the ribbon from the tags. This part was a little tricky because the buckets need to be well spaced so the word “love” doesn’t look too wonky. Apply some glue dots underneath the ribbon so it won’t slide down the dowel once it was in place.
For the base of the bucket, fill it about half full with small rocks. This will add weight to the base. Then add the Styrofoam to hold the dowel.
After the Styrofoam and dowel are in place, add a couple of burlap flowers to the base bucket. Top it off with a White Pearl studded Butterfly.
I really like how it turned out and it was a lot of fun to create!
